"I've been training with the Sagitago buns
For about a week now, and to be honest,
I don't think I'm fully ready for this after all. I feel like I need to know more about the godbun's and their foundation.
Do I perhaps need to learn more about the divine naming ceremony, too?
Of course, probably. I suppose I should learn about that, too.
Hmm, there's something I recall reading when I was in that hidden library,
And, to be honest, I
Various questions about it.
Eh, so, I read that story about that bun with no purpose to their life. And the godbuns determined them Farmer Bunny,
Why do I feel like that story is so familiar to me? I feel like I
Had heard it many times before? Maybe before I declare I'm fighting the godbuns, I have to find out more
About that. At least, I
Think I ought to.
In the end, I think
That's the key to everything. Am I certain
That's the final missing piece to the puzzle?
Ah, perhaps. I do feel like it could be. I
Keep thinking back to that story, and to be honest,
Everything about it makes
Sense. Maybe I should have asked something about
That while I was training with the Sagitago and
Oriza folks, but it
Didn't cross my mind at all at the right time.
Oh, well, I guess
That's my fault since I
Hadn't even taken a moment to think about
It. I should have, but I didn't.
So, I have to wonder,
If that bun is still alive? I
Hardly think that bun is.
At the end of the day, I'm
Very certain I can't just leave it at that. This is
Evidence. Or, at least, I
Think it's evidence.
Of course, the Sapphire Wars are, too, but I
Don't want to go back
Over to that village and ask
Them any more questions, I'm sure they've
Had enough of me by now.
In the end,
Simply put, I have to make do with what they already told me. I don't
Need to bother them anymore. Maybe I could go back to the ruins in
Oriza and dig up some secrets
There, but I think I shouldn't do that either. I
Just have to go with my gut and
Unravel the
Secrets from what I already know.
Though, I guess I
Feel like that's not enough to go
Off of. I guess not, anyway. I'm
Rather certain, there's
More where that came from.
Eh, it's fine. Today, I'm going to Sumazo Forest,
But I don't know if I've gotten enough training in,
Ugh. Maybe I don't have what it
Takes anymore. No, no, it's
Fine! I can do this! I'll fight the gods
One after another, and claim victory! They'll
Reap what they sow for this
Awful mistake they've given to me!
Let's find Deigr and formally challenge the godbuns to a fight! And, then
Let's look for that archgodbun who has gone away and give him a
Little piece
Of my mind. I don't know if I'll be able to beat him, but for now, I
Probably should focus on being
Victorious against the twenty godbuns
And the twenty godbuns only.
Maybe if I mention the archgodbun, they'll be caught off guard. At least, that's what I think, anyway,
Probably. I don't know.
At the end of the day, I have to
Keep trying.
I won't live this divine mistake
No matter what! It
Doesn't have to be this way! For me, or any of the other buns that were given a divine mistake!"
Seven days passing by in the blink of an eye, the training sessions had been quite brutal. Or, had they? Pushed to the limit multiple times, the vampa knew the uphill battle that was about to come his way just the beginning. Bidding farewell the Sagitago buns, the bun paced around as the Rotten Carrot Holdings soon waited for him once again.
Clap of thunder ready to burn his ears a new one, the bun gulped. Should he really be doing this? Maybe he should turn back. No, it's fine, right. He has an older sister to save here! He can't back down now! Knocking on the door, the vampa rocked back and forth. Please, don't let the outing have already happened! Door creaking open, a head soon peered out.
"Oh, it's you again," the employee said. "They're waiting for you."
[You knew I was coming?] A crackling voice asked through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Not especially, no," the employee said, shaking their head. "In any case, do come in."
Guided towards the back room, the farmer braced himself. Should he really be doing this? Maybe he should turn back around and forget about all of this. But, the vampa shook his head. No, absolutely not, there's no way he can chicken out now! Right, this has to work out. Eyes sizing him up, sweat was ready to turn his back into a bath. Maybe he shouldn't have come here after all.
"Finally decided to show up, aye?" Lonan asked. "Good, 'cause we thought you might have decided not to."
"I can't believe he actually showed up after all!" Noce cried. "You ready for this? Rumor has it, there's a certain bun you need to find?"
[Who told you that? Where did you hear that?] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Some guy with some third eye told me when he was touring this place the other day!" Lechi shouted, pointing at the wall. "Listen, the gods may have labelled me as an old loser with backwards ideals from centuries back, but even I know when something is extremely important!" They then clapped his hands together. "Olann, wake up, we're about to leave!"
Question coming his way, the bun closed his eyes for a moment. Should he tell these four about his sister? Maybe that would be a good idea. Taking a deep breath, he reached for the Talkmaster B's speakers. He needs to let it all out, right. Turning the knobs, a scribble of twin drills had been on the screen. Would this be enough? He sure hoped it would be.
[You're right, Lechi, that's correct. My sister's been there for quite awhile now, and I need to get her out of there! I can't let the godbuns do as they please with her! Please, if you're going to train me there, help me find her! That's all I ask! I'll even pay you all the chips that you want, I promise! Or, maybe I can play a few games with you when you have to come back here!] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers. But, such had been met with a lot of laughs.
"Games, chips, seriously? We don't need any of that from you," Olann laughing. He then bent down towards his ear, whispering. "Look, we'll help you find your sister, alright? And, we'll help you kill the ethanoribbit hiding there, what do you say?"
[I've beaten that thing before, and I'll do it again!] A crackling voice said through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Then that's settled then, let's go." He grabbed his wrist.
[Wait! Doesn't one of the staff have to go with you?] A crackling voice asked through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Aren't you going to supervise us, substitute staff?" Noce asked, wiggling their fingers in the air. "Let's get going."
Badge on his shirt, the vampa blinked. When did that get there? Exiting the building, Susu's buggy had soon been waiting for him. Dangerously quiet ride taking him away, the farmer crossed his fingers. Please, let this all go smoothly. He needs to find Deigr no matter what! Reaching the forest after what felt like half a day, the vampa slapped his cheeks. Here goes nothing.
Forest crackling up a storm, the bun's knees buckled. What's going on here? Something isn't right. But, the vampa pushed such thoughts away. It's fine, right, he's got this in the bag. Susu locking eyes with him, sweat poured down his cheek. Why does she look as though someone in her family just died? Something's not right.
"I know it might not be in my place to say this," Susu said in a concerned tone. "But, I really think you all should turn around."
"Relax, with me here, poison isn't something anyone has to worry about," Noce said. As they said such, a watering can was taken out. "If you're so scared, you can stay behind!"
"Alrighty, if you say so," Susu responded, closing her eyes. "Good luck, Siorc."
Olann's ears raised, the vampa placed his hand behind his own. That ribbit, is it just his imagination, or does it sound much deeper than normal? It definitely does, he has to get rid of it as soon as possible! Lonan placing his hands behind his as well, his hands soon pointed at something, in an instant.
"Over there!" Lonan shouted. He then twirled around a pair of wires. "Are you ready to smash some ethanoribbit brains?"
Racing towards the creature, the bun turned towards Lonan. Why did the gods name him Tone Deaf Lop in the first place? That was a mistake that needed to be corrected, no matter what. Ribbits racing towards him, the bun removed his hairpin. It's time to turn this frog into a piece of dust!
"There it is!" Lonan shouted. "Olann, teach this guy a lesson on how to get this monster down in no time flat!"
"Hmm, alright, listen, kid, here's a tip for you," Olann said, pointing. "Sound."
Sound brought to his attention, the bun placed his finger on his chin. What did that even mean? How did he beat this thing last time? Ah, right, his shield did all the talking, how could he forget? Forget this, maybe Olann was onto something. But, how could he counter with sound? He doesn't know, but he has to hurry and do something!
"He's not going to get that!" Lechi shouted. "Ugh, here, I'll give you a hint, too, when it ribbits, do something louder, and, you have to hurry when it does!"
Creature shaking the ground, the farmer took a deep breath. Do something louder? How was he supposed to do that? Staring at his Talkmaster B, he wondered, how loud could he make it go? He doesn't know. Scribbling a screaming face, he waited. Any second now, here they come. Three, two, one.
Ribbit, ribbit, ribbit.
[Take this, you sorry piece of toxins, I'll crack you to pieces!] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers, a sound then played.
Loud screeches of talons on a chalkboard soon echoing through the forest, the bun covered his ears. Alright, maybe he tried a tiny bit too hard there for a moment. Creature becoming nothing but dust, he pounded his hand on his fist. Alright, Artibu, he's coming for them, next! Lonan's hands behind his ears once more, another scream threw itself out into the open.
"This way!" Lonan cried.
Running towards the hut, the chimera pounded on the door with all his might. Open up, Artibu, or else this door is going to be torn into pieces, entrance way peeling back, a glare had soon been awarded to him. Scribbling away as quick as he could, a fist had been behind his back. The godbuns had better watch out, they're going to get what's coming to them!
[I know you have my sister, give her back to me now! And, don't say you don't know what I'm talking about!] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Tch, I can't believe you came crawling back here just for that," Artibu shouted, she then walked away for a moment, pesky mortal pinched between her hands. "Here take her back! And, don't think for a second that I'm giving you a redo on your divine naming ceremony!"
Yoink.
Deigr tossed to the ground like a dirty old rag, the hyena grit his teeth. Alright, that's it, this is the end of the line! The godbuns are going to get it! Broken flag drawn on the Talkmaster B's screen, the vampa wrote war in bubble letters. Resisting the urge to shake the device, a sharp bubble was soon around it. The time has come, there's no going back now.
[You know what? I challenge you twenty godbuns to a fight! A war against me, and you twenty! You hear that, Artibu? I'll get the destiny meant for me whether you like it or not! So, take me on!] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Oh, really? You sure about that?" Artibu asked, laughing. "You really think you stand a chance against us?"
[It doesn't matter if I do or don't, but mark my words, I'll take you all on, and if I win, it won't just be me who gets a redo, you hear me?!] A crackling voice shouted through the Talkmaster B's speakers.
"Tch, those are fighting words!" Artibu shouted. "Fine, consider your challenge accepted. But, don't think we'll go easy on you, Unhappy Bunny! Now, go on now, take your sister home!"
Turning towards the Rotten Carrot Holding's buns, the vampa blinked. Should he really leave now at a time like this? Maybe he should keep training here before turning back. Sister huffing a weak breath, his heart leaped. What should he do? He could feel himself about ready to pulled in six different directions.
"Tch, don't worry about us, Susu will bring us back," Olann said, clicking his tongue. "Right?"
"Uh, yeah, what he said," Susu said. "It's fine, go back to Seeboro."
Turning towards his sister, the bun closed his eyes once more. The godbuns, just what did they do to her? He doesn't know, but he can't help but feel something has changed, something drastic. Deigr looking straight at him, his eyebrows furrowed. Is she alright? Maybe he should ask.
"Don't worry about me, Siorc," Deigr said, huffing and puffing. "Follow me, I know a shortcut back home."
Heading off towards a hidden cave who knows where, a strange portal soon ate the party of two alive. Returning to his abode in the blink of an eye, the vampa dragged himself off towards his bed. Plopping down face first onto his covers. Dream world ready to take him away at any given moment, one last though blazed through him.
This means war, Godbuns.
He has what it takes, right?
Maybe not, but he's got their deepest darkest secret.
Maybe he can do something with that?
Perhaps he can.
