Chapter 14 : Flying Scorpion

He immediately checked his status.

[STATUS WINDOW

Name: Aron Argentine
Identity: Unknown
Tier: Legendary (L)

Attributes:

Strength: 400
Stamina: 300
Agility: 300
Spirit: 300
Mana: 400

Free Attribute Points: 0]

Aron's stats had just increased so much that he felt excited. Then he remembered the other rewards he got, so he checked the description.

[Regenerative Pills x 100

Description: Regenerative pills can bring you back from the verge of death. Even in immensely severe conditions, this pill can perform miracles.

Note: It can regenerate mana and stamina to their peak in a second.]

Aron instantly cursed looking at the description, "Holy shit...!"

[Ding!]

[Just stop overreacting, Host. This system contains many more powerful things... and you are already losing it over a simple regenerative pill.]

[What an idiot I got involved with...~(*<*)~]

Aron was about to curse the system to hell, "You damn..."

But suddenly he heard whispers from an alley a few kilometers away. With his enhanced hearing, he could now hear over a very long distance.

It was already nighttime. The roads were almost empty of citizens and cars. Only a few cars remained on the main road. And the sound was coming from a deserted old factory.

"Is everything done?"

"Yes! I set up the traps. But it is risky right now... I heard Iron Fist is present in this city right now!"

Another voice said, "Iron Fist? That A-rank Sire from the capital who works for the Association?"

"Yes! He came here for an inspection. He'll be gone in a few days and then... Hahahaha."

Another one sneered, "Hey! Stop laughing. If those powerful families find out we did it, they'll kill us any way possible..."

"Hmph! How would they know? I already placed many spies inside their families. We'd get notified if they moved even a little."

Another said, "But we still have one thing to do..."

"Don't worry about that. Master said he'd do it himself. That thing will trigger the beasts outside this pitiful city. Hahahaha, and then..."

Aron froze in his place. Until the last sentence, he wasn't sure what they were talking about. But now he was absolutely sure. They were talking about the beast tide.

'So the beast tide that happened in my past life was not caused by the beasts alone? Someone orchestrated it from behind?!'

He had always thought it was done by the beasts. But now he was hearing something he never knew in his last life at all.

Aron immediately sent a message with the location of the old factory to Frederick, telling him to come to the factory with the Association forces.

He himself jumped over the buildings, running at terrifying speed toward the factory. When he reached the old factory, he saw around 18 or 19 people there. Most were around C-rank, and five were B-rank.

"Where did these people come from? Our city doesn't have that many powerful B-ranks at all. And I haven't even seen them once in my life either," he murmured to himself.

Suddenly, a crisp notification rang in his head.

[Ding!]

[New task triggered.]

[Defeat the unknown SIREs who tried to harm Archeon City.

Reward: 500 stat points.]

Aron's eyes lit up instantly. He had just gotten 500 stat points from his system a few moments ago, and now he had another opportunity to get another 500 points.

BOOM!

He jumped from the high building and landed in front of the 19 unknown Sires. Everyone tensed up and took their fighting stances, looking coldly toward the person who suddenly appeared.

One of the B-ranks asked coldly, "Who... who are you?"

Aron smiled. "No one! Just a normal student from this city. Now tell me... who are you? Why are you trying to harm our city?"

He took out the SIRE badge he got from the Association and pinned it to his chest. He tapped it once, and the badge started recording.

Another B-rank stammered, "You... you heard us talking! But we didn't see anyone nearby..."

His voice cut off suddenly. He thought about something and immediately his face turned grim, "Are you also a B-rank SIRE?"

Aron didn't answer. He just smiled at them.

Another B-rank pulled an axe from his space ring and said, "You! Young boy... stop trying to be a hero. There are five B-ranks here. What could you possibly do against us..."

He didn't even finish his sentence. Aron picked up some stones from the street and threw them at the C-rank Sires, one by one.

Thud! Thud! Thud!

All fourteen stones struck precisely on their foreheads, and they all dropped limp without even making a sound.

All of this happened in a second, and everyone became dumbfounded.

The five B-ranks stared at Aron in horror, their grips tightening on their weapons.

Aron asked coldly, looking directly into their eyes, "Let me ask you again. Who sent you to orchestrate this heinous plan in our city?"

One of the B-rank Sires suddenly attacked without waiting. He was wielding two short swords.

He thought, why were they talking nonsense with the young boy? They should just kill him directly. Now that he knew about their plan, they had to erase all the evidence.

He slashed those swords toward Aron with powerful agility. But just as he thought the strikes would land perfectly on Aron's skin, Aron just smiled.

In the next second, he moved like flowing water and slipped through the B-rank's reach in an instant.

Then he suddenly grabbed his wrist and twisted it backward.

The man screamed as his hand broke...

"Ahhhhhhh!!!"

The short sword dropped from his hand. He tried to stab Aron with his other hand, but to everyone's horror, Aron caught the blade with just two fingers of his other hand and then...

Crack!

The peak C-rank sword shattered into countless pieces.

Aron smiled coldly at the SIRE and said, "Now that you've already used your skill against me, it should be my turn, right?"

He tilted his head and let go of the SIRE's broken wrist. Everyone was confused about what he was going to do, but the next second, Aron flicked his forehead with his finger.

The SIRE flew backward with tremendous force, smashed through several pillars, and landed flat on the ground, unconscious.

Aron smiled coldly toward the remaining four Sires, who were gulping hard.

"Again, tell me who sent you here?"

One of the SIREs shivered. His power let him hide inside shadows. Any SIRE around his level couldn't see or detect him at all. He immediately vanished into the shadows...

But what he didn't know was that Aron wasn't a B-rank at all. Aron instantly pinpointed his location, and in the next second, he vanished from his spot.

One of the other SIREs stammered in fear, "Where... where is he...?"

But the next second, a scream rang out from the shadows...

"Ahhhh... Monster! How could you find me..."

Aron threw the broken body of the shadow user in front of everyone. He was barely conscious. His arms and legs were completely broken.

He shouted to the other three, "Run... run away from this monster... He's weird. He can sense me, and he did this in just a fraction of a second..."

But before he could continue, Aron stepped out of the shadows. "Hehe! You wanted to run... then try it!"

"Let me tell you, even if you run to your master, I'll find you and break every bone in your body in front of him."

"Tell me who sent you, and surrender. Or else..."

The guy with the axe sneered, "Boy, you don't know what you're playing with... If my master knew about it, he'd..."

Before he could finish, Aron appeared in front of another B-rank Sire, one who didn't have any fighting skills at all. His skill was to heal his teammates.

He grabbed his face and...

BAAM!

He smashed his face into the ground. The unlucky SIRE lost consciousness instantly.

The remaining two, one with an axe and the other with flames coming out of his hands, immediately got into fighting stances.

Aron moved again. "So you guys won't tell me anything until I break each and every bone in your body..."

He punched toward the flame guy. The guy punched back at Aron with his flame too. The two fists met in the air.

BOOM!

With a huge explosion, the guy flew backward like a broken kite and landed limply on the ground. His arm was already broken. Against Aron's terrifying strength, his stats were pitiful.

Aron blew on his fist as it burned a little. But his spirit was strong enough to endure this much pain.

He looked at the last guy, then chuckled. "Now only you are left. Why don't we start?"

The guy, already terrified, gritted his teeth, activated his skill, 'Axe Wielder' and swung his axe toward Aron.

Aron picked up a rusty rod from the site using his leg and swung it toward the guy. He also activated his skill for the first time since he started fighting them and used a simple slash with the rod. A white-blue sword aura appeared around it...

Slash!

The next second, the axe split in half. Aron pressed the rod against the guy's throat. The man immediately raised both hands in surrender. He was terrified of this young man.

He knew if he didn't surrender now, this guy would definitely kill him.

Aron smiled. "Now tell me! Who sent you..."

The guy still didn't say anything. He just looked coldly at Aron and said through gritted teeth, "Don't worry, you'll know it soon... This city will face the most terrifying massacre in history..."

Just as he said this, he sliced open his arm with a sharp object hidden in his hand so fast that Aron didn't even have time to stop him.

Something crawled out of his arm, and the next second it stabbed him with its tail. Then it moved with terrifying speed from one body to another, toward the unconscious bodies lying on the ground.

The guy fell limply to the ground. Foam was coming out of his mouth and covering his face.

Aron immediately understood what it was. He appeared in front of the shadow user, who was nearby, and guarded his body. The shadow guy also felt fear for the first time upon seeing that creature. His eyes widened in horror.

Aron, a transmigrator from Earth, awakened a trash F-rank skill after arriving in this world. During his ten years in Erdalon, he never received any golden finger or special cheat.

Ten years later, the world faced its greatest calamity. When Aron witnessed even SSS-rank powerhouses losing the war, a brazen idea suddenly crossed his mind—to humiliate an SSS-rank Dark Dragon before his death.

Without hesitation, he spat directly onto the huge face of the Dark Dragon, Verradon, and was immediately met with a horrific death.

Just before dying, however, he awakened the Ultimate Face-Slapping System and regressed back to the past—to the very moment he had first transmigrated into this world.

This is the journey of Aron as he rises from a worthless nobody to save the world and unravel the countless secrets hidden within it.

Many years later, Aron stood above the multiverse, looking down upon all living beings.

"...Did I forget to spit on the Universe Lord?"

A grin spread across his face.

"Let me go spit on his face too!"
