Leonard finished reading and handed the book back to Marvin.
"Are you saying that angels and demons interacted with each other?" "Absolutely. Even when I was alive in my time, we didn’t have access to the demon kingdom or the underworld." "That gives me more insight about Stella."
"What do you mean by Stella?" "Oh, you haven’t heard of Stella? I encountered her in her demon form at the festival when she sent the three bullies to the demon kingdom. I had no idea a demon could enter the angel kingdom," Marvin said as he walked toward the door.
After Marvin left Albert P.’s house and made his way to the library to return the book before it closed, Leonard turned to Albert P., demanding some answers.
"Albert P., do you know anything about what Marvin mentioned?" Leonard’s voice became firm as he approached him.
"I recognize that look on your face when you’re after the truth. You want the truth? I can provide it. A few months ago, when I gave a special presentation at his academy, Stella, who is also known as Bridgette, looked very familiar. I invited her here for a discussion, and that’s when I witnessed her transformation from 10,000 years ago, but it was a mix of demon and angel," Albert P. said, shielding himself as Leonard took a step back.
Leonard stepped out of his home and made his way to the city hall. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted Kian waiting for him.
"Hey Kian!" "Hey Leonard!" "I’m glad to see your ideas coming to life after you took my blueprints." "I sure did because they looked way better than your original concepts." "Kian, what are you doing here? You clearly shouldn’t be here."
"You figured it out fast. I’m here to get revenge on Stella and finish her off for good." "You know Stella is way stronger than both of us put together." "Yeah, but if she wasn’t strong, she wouldn’t have learned mixed magic from me."
"Why do you always have to target someone so easy to control? You’ve already caused enough trouble for Stella by teaching her the most dangerous magic and manipulating her after you got rid of me." "And? You can’t do anything to stop it. Plus, Stella won’t find peace once everyone learns her true identity."
Kian went one way while Leonard went the other.
At Marvin's house, he is quietly admiring Bridgette as she does laundry on the first floor.
"Son, stop staring at your girlfriend; it's making her uncomfortable," Marvin's dad said, playfully hitting Marvin's halo. "She doesn't mind it; besides, she's really pretty," Marvin replied, lost in thought.
Bridgette, who was assisting Marvin's mom, noticed Marvin gazing at her from a distance.
"My son can't take his eyes off you, can he?" Marvin's mom joked with a hint of sarcasm. "He really can't, but I've gotten used to it over time," Bridgette replied, also with a sarcastic tone. They both laughed as they made their way back to the second floor.
After finishing the laundry, Marvin's parents left for the kingdom council one last time.
At the council, every parent of the students was called in by the kingdom mayor.
"Thank you for coming on such short notice. What we discussed in our last meeting is relevant to what’s about to happen in the coming days. Zeus is the reason we have these meetings to prepare ourselves. So, angels, are you ready to fight back if evil approaches us?" the mayor declared with strong leadership.
"YES!" everyone shouted in unison, filled with determination. "Then let’s defend our beautiful kingdom from any threats. One last thing before you go: if you see a demon wandering around, capture it and bring it to the plaza center."
After the meeting, all the parents left the city hall and returned home.
Marvin's parents got into their car and drove back to their house.
When they arrived, they found Bridgette and Marvin asleep in the living room with the TV still on. They turned it off and covered them with a blanket before heading to their own rooms to sleep.
"Honey, do you think what the mayor said about 'preparing for what's coming in the next few days' is true?" Marvin's dad whispered to his wife. "I trust what he says, but let's not worry too much; we shouldn't dwell on it.
"Hades, Komoku has called for you to meet with him and Zeus," Shane said, standing before Hades's throne in the underworld. "Zeus? We aren't on speaking terms," Hades replied, avoiding eye contact with Shane. "It's better to start heading over there; you know Zeus doesn't like to wait," Shane said as he walked out of Hades's underworld.
Feeling exhausted, Hades began his journey to the demon kingdom. He paused at the center before stopping.
"Now, this is what I like to see. The goblin has been dethroned," Hades let out a loud laugh. "Laugh all you want, but I'm still a demon and I still have my girlfriend," Amon said with a slight smirk.
Hades looked puzzled, shrugged it off, and teleported into the demon lord's chamber.
"You're late as usual," Zeus scoffed. "Excuse me, I dislike being PUNCTUAL. I'm not like you," Hades retorted in the same tone. They both began to bicker endlessly until Komoku walked in.
"Grow up already; oh wait, you're already grown up, but still, you act like teenagers," Komoku said, feeling embarrassed by their behavior. "Why am I here, and why is Zeus here too?" Hades demanded. "I agree; I was peacefully enjoying my time in the garden when one of my angels told me I had to come here," Zeus groaned. "Because Kian has declared war against Stella," Komoku said in despair.
Zeus immediately sat up when he heard the name Stella.
"You seem curious about her name; what's up with that?" Hades joked. "Since I have Leonard in heaven, Stella used to wait by the gate, hoping to get in, but she could never make it. She hasn’t seen Leonard for years," said Zeus leaning back again.
Hades and Komoku exchanged glances, as if they were unaware of that situation.
"Anyway, the angel kingdom is gearing up for a fight. The kingdom's mayor called for a final meeting last night, which I organized. Now that you brought up Stella, she needs to be cautious, and Kian, well, we all know he’s a full-on demon. I can’t believe no one from the angel kingdom has noticed Kian wandering around freely," Zeus said, getting up and heading through a tunnel to heaven.
Hades opened a portal and went to the underworld, leaving Komoku by himself in his chamber.
He decided to go see his son Amon, who was chained and powerless in the heart of the demon kingdom.
Once an angel, Stella turned her back on her kingdom and became a demon. Now, as the new queen, she returns to her hometown to collect information. There, she encounters Marvin, a timid guy dealing with similar struggles she once experienced. If she falls in love, it could destroy her reputation. Can she keep up her fake identity or find a way to make peace with the Angel Kingdom?
