Saggar made himself visible. But since he remained in his dragonfly form, Olivia didn’t notice him. She continued looking out of the window. She looked sad, miserable and frightened as she gazed at the night sky filled with stars and a half moon.

“Olivia Anderson,” Saggar said to call her attention.

The woman was startled by his voice. She turned around in fear and looked at the closed door of her room. Saggar noticed the metal collar around Olivia’s neck. She also had numerous bruises and cuts in her body.

He flew in front of her face.

“I am a friend, Olivia,” he introduced himself.

Her green eyes with slit-like pupils looked hard at Saggar’s dragonfly form. According to the information Scylla had gathered about Olivia Anderson, she had been blind since birth. Her eyes were also blue. But the eyes studying Saggar were now green and were definitely able to see him. The return of her eyesight was most probably a side effect of the bandit’s venom.

“A dragonfly!” she gasped. “Are you the one talking?” she asked. She opened her hand and cajoled Saggar to perch on her palm.

Saggar settled on Olivia’s palm.

“My name is Saggar and I am here to rescue you.”

A slight smile appeared on Olivia’s face.

“I must be having hallucinations because of the numerous drugs the doctors here continually give me!” she lamented.

“What are they doing to you?”

“They are experimenting on me. Treating me like a guinea pig. When I first woke up in this place, I thought they were going to help me. They were quite friendly at first and told me they are going to take care of me. That they would cure me.” Tears began streaming from Olivia’s eyes. “But all they did was interrogate me, do experiments on my body and give me drugs that numbed my body and made me feel dizzy. They don’t even treat me like a human being. They have even refused to give me clothes or blankets to cover my horrible body!” She burst out crying.

“When I was still a girl, I always prayed and hoped that I would be able to see, But now that I could see, I couldn’t bare to look at what has happened to me!” She wiped the tears from her cheeks. “And I think I am going crazy since I am talking and telling my problems to a dragonfly!”

“This dragonfly form is just one of the many shapes I have, Olivia.” Saggar flew away from her palm. He then transformed back into his human form.

Olivia’s eyes widened.

“W-What is happening?”

He gently took both her hands and explained the situation.

“Do you remember what the Kissing Bandit did to you?”

“Kissing Bandit?”

“He was the man wearing the Zorro costume that entered the massage clinic where you were working. He was the one who grabbed and kissed you.”

Olivia’s pale face suddenly turned red.

“That man!”

“He infected you with his  venom through that kiss. The venom he gave you transformed your body and made you what you are now.”

Olivia grew angry.

“Is he among the people in this place. Did he purposely kiss me to transform me into a monster? Was he also responsible for all the horrible experiments being done to me?” she demanded.

“I don’t know yet. But I can help you get out of this place.”

“And where would you take me?” she scoffed. “To a zoo? A museum? Because those are the only places where I could fit in!”

“I will bring you to Alfheimr. It is a world where you can live peacefully and no one would look down on you because of how you look. The inhabitants of my world will accept you and treat you as an equal.”

Saggar raised his right hand and snapped his fingers. A silk coat suddenly materialized in his hand. He gently wrapped the coat around Olivia’s naked body.

“A healer named Mane would take care of all the injuries you suffered from this place. He would take care of you until you have regained your strength and gotten used to Alfheimr.”

Olivia touched the metal collar around her neck.

“The moment I step out of this place, this collar will explode and kill me.”

Saggar smiled. He released his claws and grabbed the collar. The collar shattered and turned to dust.

Olivia stared at him.

“Who are you? What are you?”

A loud alarm began blaring!

“I forgot that this room is full of cameras!” blurted Olivia. “They continually observe me like an experiment. They must have become aware of you, Saggar, and are now sending armed security men to this room. They will kill you if they find you here!” There was fear in Olivia’s eyes. “They could also capture you and do experiments on your body!”

Saggar ignored Olivia’s words.

“Do you agree to go to Alfheimr? I cannot take you there without your consent. You have to tell me that you want to go to Alfheimr, Olivia Anderson. I promise you, that you will not be hurt or be put in danger. You will have a much better life in Alfheimr.”

“But how can we leave here? I cannot change myself into something else like you. I also don’t know how to fight those armed security men.” She looked at him with sadness. “Change back into your dragonfly form and escape from here! Save yourself for you cannot save me.”

“I will introduce you to Scylla. She’s my secretary and a part time-instructor in Alfheimr Academy. She teaches a shapeshifting class and she can definitely teach you how to change your form.”

“What do you mean?”

“You are no longer human, Olivia. You have become a Sidh. And as a Sidh you have new skills and powers. And one of them is to change how you look like. You will learn in Alfheimr how to have a human body again.”

For the first time, he saw a glimmer of hope in the woman’s eyes.

“Trust me, Olivia.” But before Saggar could further speak, his ears heard incoming footsteps. The security guards were already outside the door. He focused his attention on Olivia.

“All you have to do to escape from this place is to agree to come to Alfheimr!” he repeated.

Olivia glanced at the closed door. She took a deep breath and then nodded.

“Anywhere is better than here! Yes! I agree to go to Alfheimr!”

That was the only thing Saggar needed. He waved his right hand and a big blue portal appeared on one of the walls of the room. Beyond the portal stood Scylla and Mane. The two were already used to welcoming new people in Alfheimr. And to make the newcomers feel at ease, they always used their human forms. But Scylla’s long red hair that reached down to her feet that always looked like being blown by the wind with its constant motion remained. Mane meanwhile retained the white pearl in the middle of his forehead but it was partly hidden by his white locks.

“This is the way to Alfheimr,” said Saggar to Olivia. “All you have to do is to enter it.” He took one of Olivia’s hands and guided her toward the portal.

The door suddenly burst open and ten armed men rushed in. Their guns pointed at Saggar and Olivia. Saggar stepped between Olivia and the men.

“Go now, Olivia! I will make sure that they won’t be able to follow you!” he reassured the woman.
