Meanwhile the carriage in question moved through the city and its streets. The lady driving, steered the carriage towards the massive building in the center of the city.

It would take quite a while to get to the academy. So, after taking in the sights, the girl parked the carriage in a nearby alleyway and got down.

She opened up the carriage door, hopped in and stared at the sleeping boy on its seats.

"Wake up, Kasen." Hearing his name woke the boy from his apparent slumber.

His pale white hair that ended in black tips and yellow eyes gave him quite a surreal look. He blinked once then yawned.

"Luu? Is that you?" He mumbled.

The girl called Luu rolled her eyes. "We've arrived at the academy city."

The boy sat up, wiping his eyes and taking and even bigger yawn. "Is that so?"

Luu started smoothing out Kasen's disheveled hair. She manifested a comb seemingly out of thin air and started using it to fix his hair.

"Thanks, Luu. You do the best hair-dos." Kasen said smiling lazily.

"Tch, you never mean anything you say." Luu complained. she then moved to his collar, straightening it and pulling him by his armpits like a child.

Kasen stood up obediently, stretching out his arms. Luu then smoothened his sleeves, tucked in his shirt and buckled his belt for him.

Kasen was wearing a simple collared shirt with a pair of blue-black trousers.

Now adding Luu's grooming and he was looking quite presentable.

"This is ludicrous?!"

Luu started pacing around the carriage and pouting. "You've had me cleaning up after you like a child! Driving you around like a slave..."

"Not to mention all these mortals trying to talk to me... Ewwww!"

Luu shivered like she was talking about something absolutely disgusting.

"And this form you made me take makes it a hundred times worse!!" She stomped her feet indignantly while staring at Kasen.

"The number of lustful stares I've received is appalling." She pouted her lips and her eyes became watery.

Kasen was pretty sure that isn't the expression women have when talking about men staring at them.

He sighed, "I told you that body is absolutely stunning, didn't I? That was the whole point of making you take it."

He scratched the back of his head and looked at Luu like he was saying something obvious.

Luu turned away from Kasen, "It was your whims that made me take this stupid appearance in the first place!"

Kasen sighed, "Okay, let's get going." He plopped back into his seat.

Luu gritted her teeth and went back to the front seat. She grabbed the reins and steered the carriage towards the academy once more.

All around the city, different people from all over the continent were also heading towards the academy.

Each with their own story, hoping to make their mark on the world. They all moved with the aim of passing the entrance test to the academy.

This city was the place the annals of history would record about. The foundation of the future was being built.

But first they would have to clash with the pillars of the past.
