Me and Casper walked down the sidewalk, stopping at the entrance of the bar before Casper reluctantly took a step forward, opening the door as we headed inside and we approached the bartender.
“Hello, Katerina, correct?” I greeted.
“Good afternoon, Alexander was it?” They asked, their memory was beyond shocking, considering their age and the amount of people they saw on the daily alone.
“Yes…” I nodded “Uhm…” I hastily dug through my purse pockets to find the letter, handing it to them as I did.
They held it in their hands, skimming it over for a second. Their eyebrows furrowing in confusion. “What's this?” They asked.
“Uhm…” I struggled to speak. Casper standing by my side.
“He got that in the mail, twice now. Last year, and then this year. You got any clue what it's about?” He answered for me.
They thought for a moment, slowly shaking their head. “The handwriting… Looks familiar…” They said, holding the letter closer to their face.
“Can't pinpoint it though. Not quite, no.” They added.
“But…” They trailed off for a moment, mumbling, “I can maybe send you the addresses of some of these people, I know em’.” They said.
Me and Casper exchanged glances.
“Oh. Yes… Yes I'd like that.” I said, my hands jittering, as Katerina nodded, pulling out the pen from their pocket and jotting down a few addresses.
They quickly handed the letter back to me. “There you go.” They said. “That should be right.”
“Oh- Oh thanks.” I thanked them, staring down at the addresses.
I raised my head again, turning to face Casper, while I shoved the letter back into my purse.
“Is that all?” They asked.
“Oh, oh yes it is. Thank you.” I said, nervously.
They gave us a smile “A Pleasure, I'm always free if you need anything else.” They said.
We nodded and waved Katerina goodbye as we headed back home for the day and spread the paper and letters out onto the table. There must've been about 8 or so addresses listed on the paper.
We stared in silence for a moment before Casper looked up at me.
“Why don’t we go and ask around tomorrow?” He suggested. “How’s that sound to you?” As he fell back onto the couch.
I slowly turned to face him, “Ah… Yeah.” I said, “That's alright with me.”
He smacked me on the back, as I took a seat beside him.
“You should relax for now though, you look awfully anxious.” He said “So that’s tomorrow’s issue.”
“Yeah, yeah I will.” I said, and I was almost sure I'd masturbate later.
I'd… Like that.
