Once Olivia had safely gone through the portal, Saggar quickly waved his hand. The portal vanished. The armed men were momentarily surprised but they quickly drew their guns against him.

“Don’t move!” ordered the leader of the group.

Saggar smiled. He raised both his hands as if to surrender. Two of the security men approached him with their guns still pointed at him. They failed to notice that blue mists had started coming out from his palms. The moment the mists touched the two men, they collapsed on the floor.

The other armed men tried to shoot Saggar. But Saggar had already been hidden by the mist which had now become a dense blue fog. The fog quickly filled the whole room, making the armed men unable to see anything.

“Don’t shoot!” shouted the leader as some of the men started shooting despite the thick fog surrounding them. “We might hurt each other. Spread around. This room is small so he wouldn’t have any place to hide.”

Before the leader could issue any more commands, he heard the sounds of falling bodies on the floor. The fog had rendered everyone from his team unconscious. Their guns useless in their hands. He soon found himself unable to remain standing. Like his men, he wasn’t able to fight the effect of the blue fog.

After confirming that all the men were now in deep sleep, Saggar walked toward the door. The thick blue fog remained but it never hindered Saggar’s clear eyesight. He could always see through fog or even total darkness.

He was about to leave the room when he again heard a loud alarm. Loud shouts were also coming from outside the building. He went back to the window and using his elbow broke the glass.

From where he stood, he surveyed the situation happening in the compound. He saw the Kissing Bandit, still in his Zorro costume, running across the compound toward the large gate. He was carrying in his arms a woman. Saggar focused his blue eyes on the woman. It was Emma Cloutier.

Unlike Olivia who had gone through the whole transformation, Emma still had her legs intact. But her legs had now fused together. It would be impossible for Mane to administer the antidote. It was too late for Emma. She would also have to go and live in Alfheimr.

The security guards at the gate blocked the bandit’s path. The five security men running after the bandit had already reached him and now formed a circle behind him. The bandit and Emma were cornered.

The Kissing Bandit gently laid Emma on the grass. He then faced the seven security men who began approaching him.

Saggar watched as the bandit showed his prowess in hand-to-hand fighting. If it were only the six security men, the bandit could have easily disposed of his opponents. But the seven security guards guarding the gate made the fight much harder for him. There was even a possibility he could lose against thirteen opponents.

Saggar knew he had to intervene before the bandit resorted to killing his opponents! He jumped out of the window. He landed on his feet and ran toward the gate where the fight continued to be in favor of the security men.

Despite his many opponents, the bandit still noticed Saggar’s arrival. This was enough distraction for his opponents to gang up on him! A punch managed to land on the bandit’s face, while another kick reached his stomach.

Saggar ignored the bandit and the security men. He went directly to Emma who remained sitting on the grass.

The woman’s once brown eyes had now turn to green. Those green eyes now stared at Saggar with fear.

“You cannot stay in this place, in this world, Emma,” he told her, softening his tone so, she would not feel threatened. “The only way to escape from this place and to stop those people from experimenting on you is if you agree to go to Alfheimr.”

“Alfheimr?”

He quickly explained to her about Alfheimr. He could not take anyone to that world without consent. It was a rule that could never be broken.

One of the security men approached and pointed his gun at them. Saggar gave him a kick that sent him flying away.

He held Emma’s hands and looked straight into her eyes.

“I need your answer now, Emma, before it is too late. I promise you that you will not be hurt. You will be taken cared of and have a new life in Alfheimr!”

Emma nodded. Saggar breathed a sigh of relief. Using his powers, he once again opened the portal to Alfheimr. He saw at the other end that Olivia was talking to Scylla. Mane meanwhile beckoned for Emma to come.

“She can’t walk through the portal, Mane!” he castigated the healer. “You need to carry her!”

Mane walked out of the portal and carried Emma in his arms. He then went inside the portal.

“No!” screamed the Kissing Bandit upon seeing Mane taking Emma. But he couldn’t stop Mane since he was still surrounded by his opponents.

Once Saggar was assured that Mane and Emma were safe in Alfheimr, he closed the portal. He glanced at the Kissing Bandit. A part of him wanted to see the bandit beaten thoroughly. He was the one responsible for all this mess! But Mane would be vexed if he’d bring the bandit back barely alive.

Saggar sighed. He stretched his arms. This time, he produced snowballs from his hands. He began targeting the bandit’s opponents. He began targeting every one of the bandit’s opponents. As the snowballs hit the security men, their bodies instantly froze. Soon, all the security men stood like statues. They were still alive and once the ice around their bodies thawed, they would regain consciousness.

Only the Kissing Bandit remained standing. Saggar strode toward the bandit and grabbed his cape!

“You are coming with me, Nabar!”

“But they still have Sheila!” he blurted.

“It seems you knew all of the women before you chose them to become your victims.”

The bandit remained silent.

“We don’t have time. They could kill Sheila with their dangerous experiments!” he pleaded. “According to Emma, she heard that those scientists plan to open up Sheila’s body to see how her body was changing! She would suffer a lot-”

Saggar smacked the bandit’s nape with his open palm.

“You are the reason why those women were put through such ordeals!” he castigated the bandit.

“This is not the time for you to castigate or punish me, King Saggar. Help me save Sheila and I will not fight you. I will voluntarily surrender and go back to Alfheimr. I will accept whatever punishment you give me!”

“Damn it!” blurted Saggar. He took a deep breath. “Do you know where they are keeping Sheila in this compound?”

Nabar, the Kissing Bandit nodded.

“Emma told me the location of the laboratory where she and Olivia are often sent to for the various tests they made on their bodies.”

Saggar’s jaws clenched with anger.

He had long heard of the various experiments humans had been doing to all kinds of animals. They were vicious, cruel and always ended in the animal’s disfigurement or death. Some humans who believed in the existence of yeti, chupacabra, mermaids, trolls and other strange creatures and monsters would also perform such experiments on these creatures if they managed to catch one. And the women that Nabar kissed were the perfect subjects for these cruel experiments.

It was logical to assume that the scientists in this compound heard about the transformation happening to the bodies of the Kissing Bandit’s victims. They then had these women abducted to be tested, and to be experimented.

“You do know that the people in this compound are also interested to capture you and do experiments on your body,” he reminded Nabar. “They are interested to know how you were able to change the bodies of those women.”

“They won’t catch me,” Nabar said confidently. “But the girls are still weak at this stage. They need our help and protection!”

“Oh shut up! Those women wouldn’t be in such predicaments if you didn’t meddle in their lives! And if I need to sacrifice your life to save Sheila, I won’t hesitate, Nabar!” he threatened the bandit.

“I am ready. Let’s go and save my bride!” Nabar said as he sped toward the building where Saggar had just left.

Saggar grimaced. He finally realized the real reason Nabar left Alfheimr and became the Kissing Bandit in this world!

“Stupid fool!” he said through clenched teeth as he ran after the bandit.
