He didn’t know exactly how but Rabbit managed to drag his body into the first town he saw. Even this late in the night people were roaming around the streets, not paying much attention to the young man. Dragging his body through the town he looked for a place to rest, but wasn’t sure what exactly he should even be looking for. He wasn’t able to read any of the signs that marked certain buildings, the words on them were just meaningless shapes to him. The pictures on some of the signs also didn’t help Rabbit much since he discovered he also didn’t know what most of them meant. 

 When he stumbled upon one with what he could only guess was a three letter word and a drawing of what looked like a bed, Rabbit decided to go inside to check if he could rest there. The entrance was decorated scarcely and had an archway that seemed to lead to a loud room with the smell of something cooking. 

“Hello, is there anything I can help you with?” A woman’s voice said from behind the counter.
Rabbit turned over to her, “Y-yes, I was looking for a place to sleep. Am I in the proper place for that?” 

“Uh, yeah this is an inn.” She gave him a confused look and jotted something down in a book. “We have some free rooms, it’ll be 20G a night.” 

“And what if I don’t have any G?”

“Normally, you wouldn’t be allowed to stay but I’ll just make a tab for you. Since you look dead on your feet.” She smiled at Rabbit, “What’s your name so I can write this down.” 

“It’s Rabbit.” 

“Rabbit?”

“Yes.” 

“Okay, Rabbit. Here’s your key, the room number is on it.” 

Rabbit looked down at the paper attached to the key, “I don’t know what this says.” 

“Really? Do you want me to take you there?” The receptionist said in total confusion. 

“C-can you?” Rabbit said desperately. 

 The woman sighed and smiled, “Sure, follow me.” 

 Rabbit was taken up a flight of stairs and led to a room at the very end of the hallway. 

“This is your room, remember it’s at the end of the hall on the right.” 

“I-I will uhh…” 

“Grace.” She smiled.

“I will Grace.” He took the key that was handed to him and unlocked the door.
