4. Falling In Love?

4. Falling In Love?

Jul 22, 2026

"Ow... that hurts... Ssshh... it hurts."

Sky was taken to the infirmary, bruised all over after being beaten up by that terrifying little guy.

Yan was the one treating his injuries.

Sky's face was a complete mess, especially around his temple.

Yan pressed firmly against the bruise.

"Hey... you're supposed to be treating me, aren't you? Why does it feel like you're making it worse?" Sky groaned in pain.

"Ow!" he shouted.

Yan pressed even harder.

"Ssshh! Yan... ssshh... it hurts."

"Drama queen," Yan mocked.

Truthfully, he hadn't expected Tera to be that strong either.

"Hey... are you still mad at me?" Sky asked quietly.

He still remembered how shocked Yan had been when Sky confessed that he was an Alpha.

Back then, Yan had believed Sky was an Omega.

Yan remained silent.

Sky lowered his head.

"The truth is... we both lied, didn't we? You're an Omega now, not an Alpha. You lied to me too. You pretended to be an Alpha while I pretended to be an Omega. You should forgive me."

Sky gently held Yan's hands and kissed them.

"Please... give me time to decide whether I can forgive you or not..."

Yan quietly pulled his hands away.

---

"That kid really got punished, huh?"

From the classroom window, Gama watched Tera running laps around the field.

Every few seconds, Tera kept fanning his own face because of the scorching heat.

His punishment was to keep running.

"Little rodent. Kiw, kiw."

Grinning mischievously, Gama tossed his pencil toward Tera.

The pencil missed.

Even so, Tera knew he was being teased.

"What?! Huh?! What?!" Tera shouted from below.

"Keep running! That's what you get for beating up sane people!" Gama shouted back.

"Bleh."

He stuck out his tongue with a ridiculous face.

"Blehhh!"

Tera immediately stuck his tongue out in return.

Instead of getting angry, Gama burst into laughter and nearly rolled across the classroom floor.

"You're so weird!!" Tera yelled.

He continued running.

Only three laps remained.

Then...

His vision blurred.

He quickly crouched down.

He was probably dehydrated.

Tera lowered his head and hugged his knees.

He couldn't move until the cold sweat passed.

Gama noticed the change.

Without thinking, he climbed out of the classroom window.

He jumped.

...And landed face-first in a bush.

Leaves covered his hair as he hurried over to Tera.

"Let's find some shade."

Gama reached for him.

Still keeping his eyes shut, Tera shook his head.

He was afraid he'd collapse if he forced himself to walk.

Gama pulled Tera's arm over his shoulder.

"Hold on."

"Couldn't you just carry me?" Tera asked, though he eventually followed Gama anyway.

"I thought you were allergic to me. Germs, remember?" Gama teased while helping him sit down.

He walked over to the vending machine.

Buying a drink cost money.

"I'll send you the bill later. You have to pay me back."

"What's your LINE ID? I'll send you my bank account."

Gama held out his phone first.

After exchanging LINE IDs, Tera finally realized something.

"You're flirting," Tera scoffed.

"Nope. This is business."

Gama immediately sent his bank account number through LINE.

Then he handed Tera the bottled water.

Tera drank several gulps before suddenly freezing.

His mouth slowly fell open.

Gama sighed and gently closed Tera's mouth by lifting his chin.

Before either of them could say anything else, the teacher ordered Tera to continue his punishment.

"But, Ma'am—"

Tera was cut off.

"I'll run in his place. There are only three laps left anyway, right?"

Gama stood up.

Before leaving, he casually snatched Tera's bottle, drank the remaining water, and handed it back.

Tera stared at the empty bottle.

His eyes widened.

Gama simply sprinted onto the track.

Every time he ran past Tera, he stuck out his tongue just to tease him.

At first, Tera became irritated.

Then...

He started smiling.

He even clapped to cheer Gama on.

"...This feels strange."

Gama murmured as he placed a hand over his own chest.

---

"Where are we going?" Tera asked in confusion as Gama continued dragging him along.

"With a face that pale? Where else would we go? I'm taking you to eat."

Gama led him to the cafeteria.

On the way there, they unexpectedly ran into Sky.

His face was wrapped in bandages and covered with bruises.

Tera immediately hid behind Gama.

At almost the same time, Sky hurried behind Yan, who was carrying a tray of bibimbap.

"Tera, come here."

Yan motioned for him to join them.

Tera instantly felt the hairs on the back of his neck stand up.

"Sky, apologize," Yan said while glancing sideways at him.

"Hey! I never agreed to that!" Sky protested.

Yan silently stepped on his foot.

"Ssshh..."

In the end, the four of them sat at the same table.

Tera stared blankly at the pair sitting across from him.

"Where's my apology?" Tera demanded.

"No."

Sky rubbed his bruised face.

"Say 'no' one more time and I'll challenge you to the Pocky Game."

Yan smiled threateningly.

Sky instantly panicked.

He quickly grabbed Tera's hand.

"I'm sorry."

"Sincerely," Yan ordered.

"Smile," Tera instructed.

"Louder," Yan added.

The two Omegas kept giving him instructions.

They were unbelievably noisy.

It was just an apology.

Sky finally slammed the table.

"You Omegas are seriously annoying!"

He folded his arms, still unwilling to apologize properly.

Tera refused to back down.

"I'm going to order some food."

Gama quietly left the table.

After quite a while, several dishes arrived.

Appetizers.

Main dishes.

Desserts.

From across the cafeteria, a blond-haired boy waved enthusiastically at Tera.

Kai.

He gestured that he was heading to basketball practice and told Tera to enjoy the food.

"From Kai..."

Tera looked at the meal.

Kimchi fried rice.

A small basket of strawberries.

His favorites.

"Tera! I'M GETTING YOU SOME YOGURT!" Gama shouted from the cashier.

"Okay!"

Yan glanced around before leaning closer to Tera.

"Hey."

"I don't think you should get too close to Gama."

"He's a bear."

"A real bear—not the cute teddy bear kind."

"Gama's a brown bear. They're naturally aggressive toward predators and rivals."

Yan lowered his voice.

"And if you're the prey he sets his eyes on..."

"...then you're his prey."

"If we're talking about someone's flaws, everyone has them."

"That doesn't mean we should judge everyone just because of their nature," Tera replied calmly.

Yan sighed.

Talking to Tera was exhausting.

Every conversation eventually turned into a debate.

"For example, you're a fox."

"People say foxes are cunning."

"Does that automatically make you cunning too?"

"You don't think so yourself, right?"

Yan let out another sigh.

He suddenly lost his appetite.

Sky quietly fed him a spoonful of food.

"I was just trying to warn you," Yan mumbled while chewing.

"Hue Kai seems better than Gama."

"Besides..."

"I don't like either of them."

"I'm in love with myself."

"The handsome Mr. Tera."

Tera proudly puffed out his chest.

"Pfft."

Yan snorted.

Gama returned carrying the bread he had ordered.

He looked at the food spread across the table.

"Whose food is this?"

"Who bought it?"

Without waiting for an answer, he stole a bite from Tera's plate.

"Kai's," Tera answered while chewing.

Gama immediately picked up the entire plate.

He replaced it with the bread he had bought.

Tera reached out, wanting his food back.

But like a typical Korean dad guarding his meal...

The food disappeared in seconds as Gama devoured it.

"You!!"

Tera immediately started punching him.

Gama ignored every single hit.
