Liam takes a deep breath. His cheeks were still flushed with red color; his soft and plump lips were still trembling a little bit, because of all the running earlier. His big yet fierce eyes were filled with disappointment. His sharp and perfect nose all together with his mysterious facial expressions were making his face more astonishing and beautiful. 

Alex’s question was like a trigger to Liam’s past which he wanted to forget. It was like an invitation for Liam to open up and share his miseries which he absolutely did not like. 

Liam with a serious tone says “Professor, don’t you know it is a bad habit to look at other people’s stuff.”

Alex answered but continued to stare at Liam “Sorry, I was not planning but I looked out of curiosity.”

“But it feels like you should share such stuff.”

“If only you are comfortable.” Alex says while looking at Liam.

Liam “And what if I say I am not comfortable to share it with you."

"So please, will you let go of the book and the thing you just saw.” 

“Let’s keep it simple.” Liam anwers in a little agressive tone.

After finishing his sentence, he takes the book out from Alex's hands. Alex tries to hold Liam but he lets go and watches Liam go out from the Staff room. 

The lines written on the book’s page keep coming in front of Alex's eyes. He keeps on thinking about the cause, which made Liam write something so disturbing. 

Alex takes out his diary and starts to write something. The words he found in Liam's book starts to take place in Alex’s diary as he continues to write them. 

“Почему ты делаешь это таким трудным для меня? (Why are you making this so hard for me?)”

“Смерть прекращает страдания, так почему же твоя смерть не приносит покоя в моей жизни? (Death ends suffering, so why doesn't your death bring peace to my life?)”

“почему это должен быть ты, а не я? (Why does it have to be you, and not me?)”

Alex drops his pen on the table after completing the lines. A sudden thought crossed his mind. Is Liam suffering? Is he involved in some fight? It is possible, seeing his personality, he can easily become the target of such a situation. I should keep a close eye on him. 

Liam’s world was moving at a fast pace. Every new event took him closer to his past. At the end of day with a sad and disappointed expression as he was about to leave the college, he catches a glimpse of Ethan who was waiting for him.

Suddenly Liam’s expression softens and he catches up with Ethan. They both start to walk together towards the bus stop. Ethan asks Liam to give him his hand, which will help Liam to walk easily. Liam happily accepts the offer and they both move forward.

From the window of the staff room two dark black eyes were constantly looking in their direction. It was none other than Alex. A mysterious little smile appears on his face as he watches them go. Alex murmurs softly in a lower tone as he takes a sip of his black coffee “I see, you got company.”

“Explains why you were reluctant to share some bits.” Says Alex while looking outside the window.

A phone brings Alex attention back to work. He receives the call, but as he hears the sound from the other side his face suddenly becomes darker. He takes a quick glance towards his surroundings. Alex's father from the other side speaks in anger. 

“Alex, didn’t I make myself clear yesterday. Don’t go after mirage.”

“Don’t put yourself on the edge of a cliff to survive, where the only option left for you will be to - JUMP.” 

“Hahahhahahah” Alex's father cuts the phone with a loud laugh. 

Alex again looks outside from the window. Liam has already left the campus. Alex sits on a chair near the window and starts to think this is getting interesting. Should I make my move now? Let’s see what happens.

Ethan and Liam were on the bus and were talking among themselves. Ethan excitedly asks Liam about yesterday's trip to the bar. 

“Hey Liam, you did not tell me about the place I recommended. Did you have fun last night? You got some chicks drooling over you. Tell me I am excited to hear your experience.”

Liam laughs at Ethan's question and replies “Fun? I nearly got fucking heart attack yesterday. You don’t know what I had to witness just in search of that fun.

Ethan becomes more curious and continues “Oh man what did you witness? Tell me I am dying to know now. Spill the tea.”

Liam tells everything to Ethan by giving him details of the shocking events happening from chasing the thief to meeting Alex in a dark alley. But he did not share a single detail regarding the murder he witnessed. 

Ethan starts to laugh as he listens to Liam talk, he then says “Oh my, You get to witness the dark side of the city. Forget about it next time I myself will take you to a wonderful place. I Promise. You won’t regret it I swear.”

Liam agrees to the plan and he continues to think it’s only a matter of time till Alex will find out. His sudden interest in my life after today's talk is suspicious. The whole situation feels like the calm before the storm. 

“This is not what I had in mind when I came to this country.”
