The heavy applause and the explosive camera flashes faded into a dizzying blur. Felix suddenly broke the intense eye contact, pushing himself off Luke’s broad chest. As the high-octane adrenaline from the dance wore off, all those mid-tempo champagne glasses and tequila shots hit him like a freight train.

Felix stumbled a step back, his vision swaying. His pale cheeks flushed a gorgeous, vibrant pink that perfectly matched his eyes.

"Uh-oh... Too many drinks... Bestie Miya is going to kill me... Need to leave... Now," Felix muttered to himself, shaking his head as he slipped into the crowded exit hallway.

"Wait! Hold on!" Luke called out, breathless. His inner Alpha was completely screaming to not let this man walk away. He broke into a sprint, chasing the gorgeous, burgundy-clad phantom straight into the quieter palace corridor.

Felix heard heavy, fast footsteps behind him. He tried to look over his shoulder to see who was following him, but his uncoordinated, drunk limbs failed him. His designer leather boot caught the edge of a velvet runner rug.

"Whoa—!" Felix gasped, his eyes widening in a cute panic as he started falling forward toward the hard marble floor.

Before he could crash, a shadow loomed over him. Luke dived forward, his massive, athletic arms wrapping firmly around Felix’s lean waist, pulling him tightly against his chest. Luke slipped on the slick marble, tumbling backward, but kept his body underneath Felix to cushion the fall completely.

THUD.

They landed on the floor, Felix sprawled completely on top of Luke's massive, expensive tuxedo jacket. Luke groaned softly, blinking his icy blue eyes as he looked up. Felix’s face was just inches away. Up close, Felix looked breathtakingly cute. His silky black hair was completely messy, falling across his pale forehead, and his rosy lips were parted as he exhaled soft, warm, alcohol-scented breath.

Felix blinked his big, swollen pink eyes, completely dazed and heavily intoxicated. He stared at Luke’s flawless slicked-back blonde hair, his broad shoulders, and the soft fabric of his shirt. In his completely drunk, hazy mind, Luke's sharp features blurred into something comforting and soft.

"Oh... Mr. Fluffy Ears...?" Felix slurred his words, his voice turning incredibly soft, childish, and cute. "Did you follow me all the way from California...? You're... you're so big and warm tonight... my favorite teddy bear..."

"What...? Teddy bear?" Luke froze, his heart doing a violent, chaotic thud against his ribs.

Before Luke could even process the words, drunk Felix let out a soft, happy giggle. He leaned down, cupping Luke's sharp jawline with his delicate hands, and pressed a sweet, affectionate, lingering peck right onto Luke’s lips.

Luke’s eyes went completely wide, his entire body turning rigid with absolute shock. The touch of Felix's soft, rosy lips sent a literal electric shock straight through his inner Alpha.

"Goodnight... teddy bear..." Felix sighed happily, resting his heavy head right in the crook of Luke's neck.

Felix’s body instantly went completely limp. He blacked out cold from the alcohol, snoring softly right against Luke’s chest, completely scentless and entirely defenseless.

Luke just lay there on the marble floor, completely paralyzed, his hand slowly rising to touch his own lips where Felix had just kissed him. A massive, deep crimson blush rushed across Luke's face. The cool, unapproachable Olympic dance king had just been completely broken by an accidental kiss from a drunk assassin.
