WHAT'S DOWN THERE? 2

WHAT'S DOWN THERE? 2

Jun 01, 2026

The morning sun bathed the campus of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in a gorgeous, golden glow. Hundreds of elite students walked between the historic stone buildings, chatting and carrying textbooks.
Suddenly, a wave of absolute, heavy silence washed over the entire campus quad.
Felix stepped onto the concrete pathway. Thanks to Miya’s aggressive styling session, he looked drop-dead gorgeous. The pastel-yellow sweater hung effortlessly on his lean but muscular frame, and his big, swollen rosy-pink eyes looked wide, innocent, and entirely cute as he gripped a leather sketchbook against his chest. Within seconds, a massive crowd of swooning students formed a quiet radius around him, completely captivated.
Several Alpha students sniffed the air frantically, whispering in frustration because they couldn't detect a single pheromone trail from the stunning new transfer student. Felix pouted his rosy lips, walking forward while completely ignoring his instant social popularity. He subtly reached behind his left ear, ensuring his medical scent patch was completely secure next to his ear piercings.
"Ugh. Why is everyone staring?" Felix muttered to himself in annoyance. "Did Miya leave gel clumps in my hair? I knew I should have stayed in bed."
He escaped the crowded courtyard and slipped into the grand, sunlit hallway of the arts building, looking up at the room numbers, completely lost. "Room 304... Where on earth is the introductory drawing class? This place is a maze."
"Hey! Wait! You! The burgundy dancer guy!" a voice shouted from down the hall.
Felix blinked his pink eyes and turned around. Sprinting toward him was Emily Destiano, wearing a trendy music-department jacket, her eyes completely wide with shock and excitement. She stopped right in front of him, panting heavily, before pointing a finger straight at his face.
"I knew it! I knew it was you!" Emily squealed, completely ecstatic. "You're the guy who challenged my brother Luke to a dance battle last night! I was the DJ! You were incredible!"
Felix’s face instantly drained of color. The horrific morning memory of the balcony jump and the accidental kiss flashed through his mind. He shifted into a cute, sweating panic, rapidly slamming his leather sketchbook up to completely block his face.
"U-Uh! You have the wrong person, music major!" Felix's voice turned high-pitched and nervous behind the book. "I am just a harmless, ordinary art student! I don't dance! I only paint landscapes! Goodbye!"
"Oh, please!" Emily laughed loudly, aggressively pulling his sketchbook down to reveal his gorgeous face. "No one else in Spain has those beautiful pink eyes and that visual layout. You're definitely him! Wait... do you actually go to school here?! This is amazing!"
Before Felix could sprint away, Emily grabbed his arm with a giant, friendly smile, completely oblivious to his inner assassin panic. By lunchtime, the two had officially become inseparable besties, sitting in the crowded university cafeteria.
"Felix, you have no idea how stressful my life is!" Emily whined, slamming her hands on the table. "I have this amazing university band, right? We’re supposed to perform at the massive upcoming Music Festival on campus. But my stupid, elite brothers refuse to come watch me! Richard is too busy with stocks, Luke says he only cares about choreography, and Dedrick has a football match! They are so annoying!"
"Ugh, typical boyband behavior," Felix rolled his eyes cheerfully, sipping a juice box with an adorable pout. "Ignore them, Emily. You don’t need their massive egos ruining your stage anyway."
"I know, right?" Emily sighed, slouching. "But it gets worse. Our main rapper just caught a horrible flu and dropped out! We are completely stranded for the festival. Wait... Felix... can you rap?"
Felix smirking with a dangerously handsome confidence, tapping his chin. "Bestie, please. According to my older sister Miya, I am a literal prodigy. I am great at absolutely everything. Dancing, combat analytics, fashion styling, rapping—I master it all. Except cooking. I will literally burn a bowl of cereal."
"A multi-talented king!" Emily gasped, her eyes sparkling. "You have to join my band! Come over to my house this weekend for a tryout! Please, please, please!"
Felix sweated slightly, remembering the terrifying blush on Richard and the half-naked Luke on the balcony. "Go to your house...? The Destiano estate? Uh... let me think about it."

Later that afternoon, Felix walked into his very first introductory art class. The students were all assigned to sketch a live marble model placed in the center of the room.
While the other students were struggling with basic human anatomy, Felix’s elite assassin vision kicked in automatically. His brain calculated angles, distances, lighting, and shadows with the precision of a high-tech computer tracking a target. His charcoal pencil flew across the paper with blinding speed and fluid grace.
By the end of the hour, the professor stopped right behind Felix’s easel. His jaw completely dropped to the floor.
"¡Dios mío! This is magnificent!" the professor exclaimed loudly, drawing the attention of the entire room. "The precision! The effortless depth! Class, look at this masterpiece! Young man, your technique is flawless. I am officially offering you the main exhibition spot for the upcoming University Fine Arts Festival!"
The entire classroom burst into excited whispers, staring at Felix like he was a legendary genius. Felix just blinked his big pink eyes, looking incredibly cute and confused. "Wow," he muttered to himself. "School is actually way too easy. I should get a bonus from the Association for this."
The campus bells chimed as school officially closed for the day. Felix walked out of the grand stone archway, his pastel-yellow sweater shifting in the warm Madrid breeze. Emily immediately sprinted up to him, locking her arm with his like the ultimate bestie duo.
"Class is over! Yay!" Emily beamed brightly. "Now, Felix, you promised you'd show me where you live. Let’s go get some food, I’m starving!"
Felix smiled brightly, his rosy lips curling into a goofy grin. "Perfect timing, Emily! My older sister Miya just opened her brand-new, high-class pastry boutique right down the street. Let’s head to the bakery! I’ll make her give us the premium macaroons for free."
They happily strolled down the wealthy avenue together, completely unaware that this innocent bakery trip was about to trigger a monumental, multi-billion-dollar collision with the rest of the Destiano family.
