I woke up to find myself in a strange room. I tried standing up but noticed I had been tied up in my hands and legs. I looked around and saw my sister staring at me. Thank God she's not dead; at least there's hope. I need to find a way to get my sister and I out of this place. I looked around and sighted the bow and arrow I gave to my sister and my backpack and sword far away from us.
Abigeal: Thank God you're awake.
Me: We need to get out of here.
Abigeal: So, what's the plan?
Me: I'll try to loosen my hand, and we'll find our way out of here.
Abigeal: Okay... I'm very sure our parents will be worried about us now. And I pray they don't get into trouble while looking for us.
Me: Yes, that's my prayer also.
The door clicked open, breaking our discussion. A vampire came in and told me to remove the wristband from my hand, saying I was the one he wanted to kill first.
Me: I'm not removing it, and that's final.
Vampire: You're acting really stubborn.
Me: If you know you're strong, why don't you loosen me, and let's fight?
Vampire: I am strong, and I can't loosen you because of your wristband. It's capable of making me weak.
Me (I roar into laughter): An ordinary wristband is stronger than you; that's to show how weak you vampires are.
Vampire: It's not ordinary. It's a wristband created by the first greatest vampires' hunter. He created it out of thermal energy, silver, and aluminum alloy. He put a magical detective element on it that once it's closer to a vampire, it radiates and burns the skin of the vampire. The only usefulness of the wristband is that it protects you from being bitten by a vampire because a vampire can kill you from where I am now with their magic without coming closer to you. I want to suck your blood; that's why I'm asking you to remove it.
Me: That's interesting; why won't there be vampires' hunters when all you vampires are heartless creatures? I'll end you all personally.
Vampire: Hahahahaha, it's easier said than done. You're about to meet your end very soon, and I'll like to bite you in a way that you'll remain alive and turn into a vampire. And I'll keep you as my running dog.
Me: Over my dead body.
Vampire: You don't have the power to control that.
Me: Then I'll kill myself rather than remain a vampire.
Vampire: You can't kill yourself with any weapon except a weapon created by the Vampire King.
(All this while, I was talking to him, I was busy struggling my hand out of the rope)
Vampire: Remove your wristband now, or I'll kill your sister first.
Me: Then you have to remove the rope you tied on my hand first. And how the hell did you do that without removing my wristband?
Vampire: Magic (and I understand)
Me: Remove the rope and let me remove the wristband.
Vampire: If I remove it now and you do anything funny, I won't think twice before sending you to death.
Me: Okay, let's do this.
Abigeal: Caleb, please don't do that. Just let me die.
Me: No, not on my watch. Vampire, it's now or never; remove the rope.
(I am planning to attack him hard when he loosens me because giving myself to him won't help in this matter since he'll eventually kill my sister. I calculated the steps I'll take from here to my sword and decided on a fast, swift roll because my leg will still be tied)
Just as he was about to use his magic, the door clicked open, and another vampire came in with my Daddy, and fear engulfed me.
Vampire 2 (who came in with my Daddy): Are you not the one who attacked me in the village one moon ago (yesterday)?
(I remain silent)
Yes, you are the one, and you will meet your end today after I finish with this man.
Me: Please don't.
Vampire 2: It seems you are related.
The vampire carried my Daddy up in one hand, bringing his neck closer to his mouth. Abigeal and I(scared and in fear): Please don't do this. But he refused to listen as he bit hard on my father's neck, sucking his blood. The sight was so horrible that I closed my eyes and screamed, as did my sister, as I couldn't believe I would lose my father in this way. My Daddy uttered a last word before he finally gave up the ghost: "Caleb, stay strong and conquer all." I screamed yet again in anger at his final words, forcing my hand loose with an unknown power. I did a roll on the ground to where my sword was, took it, and drew it in anger as a great force, greater than what I have seen before, came out, melting the two vampires away (maybe it was as a result of my anger). I loosened my sister, and both of us went to where my father was laying dead. All his body was darkened, and I could see traces of black blood in his eyes. I wept bitterly, holding my father's hand, while my sister was holding his other hand.
Me: Let's go; the other vampires might have been alerted.
Abigeal (in tears): Are we going to leave the corpse here?
Me: Yes, we have no other choice.
(I wept silently more, looking at how my sister was crying) and then, all of a sudden, I burst into tears of anger, shouting so loud as if I wanted to bring down the whole building. My sister took her bow and arrow, and I took my backpack, flinging it to my back. I looked at her, and I saw how deadly she looked; her expression was capable of giving a thousand people high blood pressure. We headed out of the room, ready for any attack.
