“You should try teaching as a profession. I know you will excel at it.”

As Alex closes his eyes while sitting in the staff room on his chair, he again hears Asher’s faint voice in his ears. From early morning Alex was getting these flashbacks again and again. It made him realise how much he misses Asher.

Asher was once Alex’s special person. He was all his. Asher was a gentle person with features like a sculpture, carved by god himself. He has a beautiful face, body and most importantly a good heart. But Alex's own greed had resulted in disaster.

Alex opens his eyes as he smells a soft fragrance across the room. As he wakes up to look for the person who just entered the room, he gets surprised. No one was in the room except him but the fragrance was still lingering in the room as well as in the corridor outside.

As Liam’s class got over, he rushed towards the staff room. He enters the staff room. But he gets disappointed, Alex was not there. He had one more lecture to give to call it a day. Liam thought to wait for him.

Liam was walking through the hallway; he got stopped in his way at the sound of a certain voice. From the window of the classroom, he watches Alex teach. Suddenly a thought came to his mind.

He looks so good when he speaks and explains, no wonder he chose this profession. No one can guess what guarded secrets this guy had in his pockets. This made me wonder how he will look while doing his mafia chores. It’s getting interesting and I want to know more and more and more.

“I think you have awakened my interest.” Liam utters these words carefully in a lower tone as he watches Alex from afar.

Liam went to the parking lot and was waiting for Alex there in front of his car. After waiting for about twenty minutes a figure appears in the distance. Liam felt relieved. He straightens his posture as the figure keeps coming closer.

Alex was tired and had a headache. He was a bit sad from the earlier illusion and memories which keep coming in front of him. With such pain and tension, he was moving towards the parking lot. Alex suddenly stops; from there he admires a lean figure standing in front of his car. A little smile appears on his face and he starts to walk toward it.

Alex stands in front of his car and says “Liam, what are you doing here?”

Liam “Professor I was waiting for you.”

Alex gets surprised but suddenly remembers their morning talk and continues “oh yes, I remembered you wanted to talk with me?”

“What do you want to talk about?”

 Liam once again looks at Alex’s left hand and says firmly “Professor you should take care of yourself. Have you visited the hospital?”

Alex “No it’s fine but thanks for asking.”

Liam looks again in Alex’s black eyes and continues “Professor regarding yesterday's incident that happened in the park. I want to ask something?”

Alex replies “Yes, say what you want to know?”

Liam carefully frames his words in a manner so that Alex did not get suspicious. He wanted more information regarding Alex, to form an escape plan. And the easiest way for Liam is to get Alex to talk to him and let him spill some beans. That way he can make a master plan.

Liam again looks into Alex eyes and says “Professor as you suggested during that day, that I should share my stuff and all. I was continuously thinking about your advice. And I have come to the conclusion that I should do it.”

Alex seems happy he starts to think finally he will get to know more about Liam and he will get to know the cause of such arrogance and rebellious character. He comes close to Liam and says “Good decision. I can help you with that.”

Liam looks at that sudden glimmer appeared in Alex's eyes. Unaware of the trap he himself is going to fall into, he replies with a serious expression and in a teasing tone “But professor there is a problem. The incidents are related to my past which I’m not confident to share with anyone. It will take time to open up. Do you have the patience to bear with it?”

Alex senses Liam’s intention behind those brave moves. He chuckles slowly and replies in lower yet in an unwavering tone “Don’t worry. I have patience like a glacier, which never melts either by heat or effort.”

Liam sighs in relief inside as he thinks he managed to lure the bear into the trap. Liam bids farewell to the professor and turns away in the opposite direction. But a mischievous thought stops him midway. He returns to his earlier spot. Alex was sitting inside and trying to put his seat belt on.

Alex gets startled by a sudden knock on his window. There was Liam standing outside and signaling Alex to open his window. Alex follows the instruction and opens his window.

Liam “By the way Professor how are you planning to drive by that injured hand of yours?”

“If you want, I can be your saviour.” Liam says the word with mischeviouness.

Alex looks amused by Liam’s actions. He was in utter shock by the depth of lengths Liam is going to make him fall for his trap. The idea of it brings a smirk on Alex's face. Such minor injury was nothing big for him but if someone pretty like Liam is dying to complete his mission Alex decides to pretend and becomes a weakling.

Alex with devilry in his mind and helplessness in his voice once again speaks “Be my refuge. If you don’t mind.”
