Note: i have reworked chapter 1 to 4 and shorten them, it continues and flow with the story from chapter 5.
5. Theft
Edward got up; by pushing Ma’s dead body off himself. His first action was to look toward Robert. He was afraid how the poor lad was, he thought he would be still wailing in pain. But to his surprise Robert was unconscious.
Edward thought… thought so, the bullets are dosed with drugs. They have numbing properties and will make you unconscious if you get hit. I am glad, I didn’t become the bait otherwise, I would have survived getting shot. But I don’t think, he would be able to finish the behemoth. Pewh… by the conversation the drug’s name should be TUR. Haven’t heard of it before… probably some new type of drug. But why would anyone make a drug with the sole purpose of kidnapping isn’t its money spent to lavishly? there might be more to the use of TUR other then knocking the receiver in an unconscious state.
Purr…
Oh! My stomach. …Edward glanced at the boxes that surround him… at least there should be food and water in one of them, right?
…
In front of Edward was the one box of water pouches and one box of bread. … When I prayed, I didn’t ask for one box of each. I asked for food and water, why there’s only one! What if others wake up. Surely, they will wake up, right? Ahh! So many questions! And I can’t think of any good answers.
Edward looked around the room, it was half upheld. Half of the boxes squashed the other half were left open and some untouched. It was all for naught. Edward dragged Robert and Ma to opposite ends of the room. Hiding them behind the boxes.
He looked at Ma, His clothes looked to cozy.
…
It’s not like, I haven’t robbed dead bodies. But it still feels weird. … Adorn in the collar less T-shirt and the pant. He put down the revolver in the holster belt on his Waist.
He looked at the staircase, then he looked at the wooden door. Two options. He went toward the wooden door.
First came the wooden door. Then the hallway, lit by a single Lantern that hung on the ceiling. Then came the left passage which was now in the right. At the end of that passage was another lantern scattering its dim light and dispersing the dark.
Edward took out the revolver from his holster and held it firmly with both of his hand. Then he took a step. Without realising he was there at the end of the left passage. He looked to his left. The same setup rusty iron bars. The dark filthy cell and humans lying on the floor. But the only difference was.
“Naked women?” Edward heaved a sigh as he looked for the prison cell entrance.
He found a lock. Edward tried to yank it, but it was locked and firm. He then opened the chamber of the revolver. Two Bullets left… Why are they so honest? Couldn’t he just said that I have only six bullets left.
Edward shook his head in disappointment.
Bang…
The lock fell on the floor. With a jiffy, Edward got inside the cell. He put down the revolver on his holster. Then he got near the first woman.
Not wanting to be sway in his instinctive urge. He quickly turned the first lady to her back. He saw nothing, there was nothing on her back. No bullets hole no sign of force violence. Her back was clean like a slate, with hair originating from her head like river going through her neck and finally ending on her back.
Then he moved to the next and then the next. No bullets hole, nothing. Only they laid unconscious. Edward was still lost in his thought, looking at the woman in front of him. Something brushed past his belt, where his revolver was supposed to be. Realizing this he wanted to get up but, he was stopped by a voice.
“Don’t!” a female voice with a low pitch fell on his ears.
Edward subconsciously stopped standing up. Afraid that the revolver was pointed at him. He didn’t turn back and thought rapidly… Why did I put the revolver back in the holster! Stupid! But who is she? Is she one of the kidnappers? If she is, why would she sleep in the cell, maybe waiting for everyone to wake …that does make sense there was one in my cell, or she is one of the victims.
“Don’t shoot!” Edward said with the same pitch.
“Nice choice of words, talk with the same pitch.” with a chuckle the revolver thief continued, “Hands where I can see them! and slowly get up.”
Edward silently moved his hand in the air, and slowly started to get on his feet. Thinking how should he answer, and patiently waiting for her to spoke first.
The revolver thief voice rang again in his ear once again, “Who are you? Why I am here?”
Edward said with honesty, “Edward. I don’t know where are we, I am also one of the abduct.”
The thief chuckled, “Like hell! I will believe that!”
Taken aback a little Edward said calmly, “I can explain.”
“Then do the honor, Edward.”
