It would be an understatement that Minwoo felt surprised seeing Dohyun. Minwoo felt his heart rate pick up just by the mere sight of the alpha. It was always like that, no matter what, Minwoo just could not control his heart around Seo Dohyun,
Yet the moment it did, his legs gave out and his knees slammed on the hospital floor.
“Jian-ah!” Seo Taemin rushed by his side, “What is happening to you!”
“Malnutrition….” Minwoo croaked out. His eyes travelled to Dohyun, who was still where he was, the impeccably handsome face was now staring at him with frosty, impassive expression.
Never having seen those eyes directed at him with such frost for a moment Minwoo wondered why Dohyun was so cold to him, only to realise he looked different now. The alpha didn’t recognise him.
“I think I am going crazy…” He told Seo Taemin, “This is not real…”
Seo Taemin hugged him, “Jian-ah what are you talking about?”
The nurse and he both sat him down on the bed and handed him another glass or water. Minwoo chugged it down as well, then asked, “Do I have a phone? Can I have it?”
“Your phone was damaged because you fell in the pool.” Taemin said, “You can use mine.” He handed Minwoo his phone.
It was already unlocked and when his eyes fell on the date he felt another jolt of panic rising through his body, “TWENTY-TWENTY-SIX!?” He screamed on the top of his lungs, “This is the year of twenty-twenty-six?”
Seo Taemin and Dohyun exchanged glances, “What year did you think it was?” The nurse asked.
“Twenty-twenty-one?” Minwoo blurted out, “I mean, it’s been five years? I don’t remember anything….” He trailed off.
“But you recognise them?” The nurse inquired again.
Minwoo nodded, “Yes, I mean….generally. Everybody knows them in the country. I just don’t know how I am related to them or what happened for the past five years.”
The nurse nodded, “Alright.” He turned to the other two, “I will call the doctor here. He is physically fine, but I think he had sustained some neurological issues because of the drowning, the doctor will check for further issues.”
As the nurse talked, Minwoo opened the search engine and searched his name on it, there was this weird paragraph nonsense results before there was an actual result.
Han Minwoo, 28, dies in a courtroom shooting.
Was written in an article 5 years ago. There was picture of his memorial, Dohyun’s picture of carrying his photo frame and his coffin being carried behind him. In the description a few paragraphs were written.
This morning, in a shootout during a hearing in the supreme court aimed at Prosecutor Seo Dohyun, Han Minwoo gets killed in a crossfire. Though the witnesses claim, Han Minwoo had stepped in front of Prosecutor Seo to save him. They even claimed they saw them sharing a kiss before Han Minwoo was rendered unconscious. The hospital has claimed he died in the ambulance after several revival attempt.
Han Minwoo, a beta, was the son of Han Eunjoo and Lee Seungho, the victim, and the murderer. His father Lee Seungho had killed his mother Han Eunjoo during a domestic altercation and later committed suicide in prison.
Prosecutor Seo or anyone from the Seo family had denied any sort of statement to the media, despite Prosecutor Seo managing his funeral personally and oversaw his cremation.
The reason for such attack at Prosecutor Seo is still unclear.
Minwoo let out a breath, he was not going crazy. Han Minwoo existed and died from shooting; he did die five years ago from court shooting. Then, somehow woke up now, in this body. He again searched up, waking up in someone else’s body and some searched popped up.
“Transmigration?” He blinked, seeing the names of some TV shows and internet novels. “What the hell is that?” He clicked on a forum post.
This novel is so good! The MC is an alpha and wakes up in the body of an omega who is married to his high school enemy!
Minwoo scrolled through the conversations, and it was just pages after pages of people discussing the concept of transmigration. Apparently, it had some types and what happened to him was the most common one, after death he woke up in the body of someone else.
“What nonsense.” Minwoo was about to close the webpage when his fingers stopped. Seo Taemin was calling him, what was the name? Baek Jian. This body was not his, his body was the one that was cremated according to the article.
He then typed Baek Jian in the search bar and clicked. The results popped up in a few seconds, and Minwoo felt his eyes and mouth both widen, “What the fuck!” He yelled for the ninth time in a row now.
There were several articles, with pictures. Baek Jian, with Seo Dohyun, their wedding!
Prosecutor Seo ties the knot with the youngest omega son of the Baek family, Baek Jian. Three months after the death of Han Minwoo, his alleged lover. The wedding and reception were both private, with a honeymoon to Italy. The Baek and Seo family had issued statements saying they were dating for a year before getting married, thus refuting the claim of Prosecutor Seo’s involvement with Han Minwoo.
It was like a whiplash; he looked up to find Taemin and Dohyun looking at him.
“We are married?!” He demanded, “What? Why! When! How!” Minwoo felt his mind jumbling up.
“You don’t remember?” Taemin asked.
“No!” Minwoo snapped, “I just….” He mumbled, “What is happening to me? What is this…”
He couldn’t hold up anymore; his body had finally given up. Though he didn’t really let of the gone without deleting the two former searches in the search history and kept only one.
As he lay down, the door of the cabin opened and presumably the doctor entered. Minwoo panted from exhaustion as the doctor talked to Seo Taemin before approaching his bed.
