Minwoo stared at the ring in his hand, the light of the cabin bounded off of the large diamond on the top. He pulled it out of the holder and slid it in the ring finger of his left hand; the ring sat loosely on Baek Jian’s delicate finger.
“It’s so tacky.” He scoffed, “Typical wedding ring.”
Dohyun looked back, “What did you just say?”
“I said it’s tacky.” Minwoo held up his hand, “Large diamonds are tacky.”
The alpha didn’t say anything, only started walking. Minwoo followed him with calm steps. A few bodyguards were in front of them, some were behind then holding his bag.
He had been in situations like these with Dohyun, because apart from the office the alpha mostly moved with bodyguards and attendants. Even his house had people to cook and clean. Minwoo wondered if he still lived in that luxury apartment in Hannam. He used to visit that place very frequently back then, even spent the night.
They were almost cohabitating because Minwoo became too attached to Dohyun. Though the alpha didn’t really say anything, he was sure he was being a bother. That was how it always was after all, Dohyun really liked indulging Minwoo for whatever reason and Minwoo never stopped taking advantage of that.
As they exited the hospital there were a few camera flashes, though none of them actually came to ask them anything. Minwoo took a glance and realised they were not actual media rather paparazzi. He wondered if the kiss in the courtroom was the reason for paparazzi to follow Dohyun and Jian like this.
When they reached the car, even before the bodyguard could open the door for him Minwoo opened it himself. The guard was startled.
“I am sorry were you supposed to open it?” Minwoo blinked.
“Ah yes.” The woman fumbled.
Minwoo let go of the handle, “All right then.”
She opened the door and Minwoo got in. From the other side, Dohyun had also got inside the car. The guard entered the passenger seat and looked at the alpha expectantly.
“The house.” Dohyun instructed without looking up from his phone, “Drop Samo-nim to the house and take me to the office afterwards.”
“Yes Sajang-nim.” She nodded and gestured the chauffeur to start the car.
The car travelled from the hospital to…somewhere. Minwoo looked outside of the window to find the buildings passing one after another. He thought about his own apartment, it might have been gone already. It was a run-down building anyway; the landlady had given it to the development projects.
Though the car did not take the familiar route to Hannam, rather it took another route. Before he could recognise, the car stopped in front of a skyscraper. Minwoo opened the map application and saw the location, it was Cheongdam.
He had really changed his location, which was expected considering he got married.
The door was opened on his side and Minwoo glanced at Dohyun before getting out, the alpha was looking at something on hi phone and didn’t spare him a glance.
With a sigh, he got out. One body guard accompanied him as the car left.
As Minwoo watch the car leave he mumbled, “I wonder why Seo Geomsa-nim is so cold to his husband.”
He then turned around and started walking, the guard walked in front of him to enter the complex. Minwoo realised the skyscraper was actually a luxurious hotel when they came closer. He thought it was some temporary residence till the guard gestured him to a private entrance and a lift.
“This is where we enter from.” He explained.
They entered the lift and the guard pressed the button of thirtieth floor. The lift was made of glass so Minwoo could see the people on the ground becoming smaller and smaller.
“What is your name?” He asked the guard.
The guard was a bit startled, but he quickly composed himself to answer, “I am Jung Seojoon.”
Minwoo nodded, “All right Seojoon, can you tell me why we are going to a hotel?”
“We are not going to a hotel Samo-nim, we are going to the penthouse apartment you and Sajang-nim live in.” Seojoon replied.
Minwoo nodded, “Ahhhh, I get it now.”
So Dohyun bought a whole penthouse after his marriage, it made a lot of sense. Suddenly a thought came in his mind. Did they have any children? It had been five years since their marriage, by now at least one child was plausible.
However, he didn’t notice any sign of childbirth in his body. Though elite omegas went through very expensive recovery process, so it didn’t look like they had children at all, yet Dohyun also didn’t mention anything about children.
The lift stopped and they entered the floor. It didn’t have any corridor, only a large door. The guard beside the door opened it after bowing at Minwoo.
As the door opened and closed after they entered the connection with the outside world ceased completely.
Minwoo stood on a foyer as big as his apartment, which was attached to a large corridor. A servant wearing a designated uniform rushed towards him, “Welcome home Samo-nim.” She bowed. She quickly took her coat and her shoes.
He didn’t react, only let them do their job.
The corridor had two more corridors on each side. The staff emerged from his left corridor and put a slipper on the floor. Minwoo wore it and started walking, the second door at the end of the corridor. The staff quickly opened the door, and it led him to a large hall.
The hall was double door with the second floor surrounded by a balustrade made of glass, above it was a sunroof from where sunlight fell inside illuminating the space naturally.
Everything was impeccable, the colour of the walls, the quality of the floor, the expensive wood of the furniture. Yet, Minwoo couldn’t feel any life from the architecture. There was not any child that rushed out to greet him either.
“Samo-Nim.” A female voice spoke and Minwoo turned to see a woman in her forties bowing, “I hope you had a good rest at the hospital.” She said.
Minwoo stayed silent for a few second before saying, “I don’t really remember anything so I cannot recognise you.”
