The meeting had officially begun. Every member of !VVO sat quietly around the large conference table, waiting for Hollow to speak. The room felt unusually tense. It was the first meeting under a new leader, and no one knew what kind of future awaited the organization. Hollow slowly stood from his chair and looked around the room. Although everyone respected him, he could still see uncertainty in their eyes.
"I know many of you are still mourning," Hollow began. "Not just because Gabriel Brown betrayed this organization, but because of everyone we lost during The Day of Rupture." No one responded. Some members lowered their heads, remembering friends and relatives who had been among the victims.
Lament broke the silence. "So... what happens now?"
Hollow walked toward the large map of Gusablam City hanging on the wall. His eyes eventually rested on Basmet Town. He remained silent for a few moments before speaking again.
"Gabriel had a plan for !VVO. That plan ended the moment he was arrested." Hollow turned back toward the members. "From this day onward, we'll follow a different path. We'll call it Plan B."
Several members exchanged confused looks.
"Plan B?" one of them asked.
Hollow nodded. "We're rebuilding this organization from the ground up. We won't attack without reason. We won't harm innocent people. Every operation carried out by !VVO must have a purpose beyond power or fear."
The room became quiet once again. Some members seemed uncertain, while others quietly nodded in agreement. After a few moments, Lament stood up from his seat.
"I support Plan B."
His words encouraged the others. One after another, the members agreed to Hollow's decision. The atmosphere that had once been filled with doubt slowly changed into determination.
Hollow looked at everyone gathered before him and smiled faintly. "Thank you. I won't let Gabriel's mistakes become ours. We start over today."
The members of !VVO stood and saluted their new leader. For the first time since Gabriel Brown's arrest, the organization wasn't thinking about revenge or power.
It was thinking about a future.
Outside the headquarters, the wind blew gently through the streets of Gusablam City. Hollow looked out the window toward the distant horizon. Deep inside, he knew Plan B would not erase the pain of losing Vincent.
But perhaps...
It was the first step toward becoming someone his brother would have been proud of.
