He spent a whooping three hours in the shop. Mostly because the clothes were so good and accurate to his tastes, but also because he somehow looked so good with everything he wore?
No, it was Baek Jian that looked good in everything he wore. Minwoo himself didn’t realise his striking features under the gloomy haircut and the dark circles, but his body proportions were extremely good. Though Minwoo was taller in his previous body, his proportions was not this well measured.
“Someone made you in a lab huh, Baek Jian.” Minwoo whispered after checking himself out in the fitting room mirror. Habitually he opened his phone to take a picture of his outfit like he used to.
Then he discovered how ridiculously good the lighting, the phone camera was and how insanely photogenic Baek Jian was. Minwoo had found the perfect canvas to paint pictures, so he continued to try on clothing, take pictures after pictures of his fits for three whole hours.
After clicking almost twenty pictures he finally stopped because it was enough for today.
“Ask them to pack everything I have tried on.” He told Seojoon and handed him the credit card, as he noticed it was probably over fifty bags of clothing and accessories he added, “It will be too hard to carry to the car though should we ask for more people from the house?”
“The staff can carry it for you.” A female voice interjected.
They turned to see a woman, from the pheromones Minwoo realised she was an alpha. She bowed at him, “I am Moon Yeji, the store manager.” Yeji smiled, “I couldn’t help but notice your immaculate taste for colour combinations.”
Minwoo bowed back, “I am Baek Jian.”
Yeji blinked, “I know. I was notified by the owner when you entered.”
Seojoon had already disappeared with the card to the checkout counter, but they kept conversing.
“You never visited our store, so it was surprising, I heard you had a mild accident last week are you recovering well?” Yeji asked.
Minwoo grimaced, “I just drowned in the pool, I was not harmed particularly but it seems I have developed some of amnesia.” He gave her an uncomfortable smile, “If we have been acquainted before I am sorry I don’t recognise you.”
“Oh no no, we were not acquainted at all.” Yeji shook her head, “Do not worry about that. If you are happy with the service please visit us again we would love to assist your taste once again.”
After finished shopping Minwoo felt his stomach empty once again. It was almost dinner time as well; he opened his phone and by sheer habit he went through his contact list to find Dohyun’s number and texting him for dinner.
Then he realised, he didn’t have Dohyun’s number. “Seojoon, do you have Sajang-nim’s number?” He asked.
Seojoon pulled out his own phone wordlessly and saved him Dohyun’s number on Minwoo’s phone. So he texted him casually.
Minwoo
Seo Geomsa-nim, do you want to have dinner? I went shopping and was planning to go to this Italian place near the mall.
He put his phone in the pocket, and they went to the Italian restaurant he always to try but didn’t have enough money to even order a starter there. Minwoo didn’t really have any expectations that Dohyun would come, but when he reached the place and checked the message it was still on delivered.
He shrugged and ordered food for him and Seojoon despite the beta’s disagreement.
“You were with me for the whole day, are you planning to watch while I eat?” Minwoo frowned, “I can fully afford another person’s meal, come on sit.” He gestured at the chair.
Seojoon sat on the chair opposite of him, Minwoo took pictures of the food because it looked good. Then ate everything he had ordered. On his opposite Seojoon was stiff in the beginning but he also ate the food Minwoo ordered without any fuss, though he avoided wine because technically he was on duty.
They came back home around eight pm. The staff were already planning to leave, Seojoon left him at the main door to manage the night duty rotation of the security. They carried his bags inside and Minwoo sent them to his bedroom to store the bags there at least if they cannot arrange it in the closet.
Sohee had changed into her normal clothing from her uniform already. “Samo-nim do you want dinner?” She asked.
“No. Where is Sajang-nim?” Minwoo asked her.
Sohee was a bit surprised by the question, “Uh he ate dinner and went to his study to work.”
Minwoo nodded, “Alright have a safe trip.” He said before climbing the stairs.
After the staff fully left and the building was supposed to be fully locked with guards at the entrance, as he heard from Seojoon in the car. Which meant he and Dohyun was alone in the house for the night.
So he did what he should and locked his door, took a long shower and laid in his bed. Since leaving the hospital, for the first time he felt somewhat alright. Especially now that he didn’t have to wear those hideous clothing anymore.
He understood one thing very clearly with his roughly four days of coming back in Baek Jian’s body and being Dohyun’s spouse. That Seo Dohyun was a grade S asshole to Baek Jian during their marriage. They didn’t even share the same space; Jian could text him and he wouldn’t reply when he could have just said he had already eaten.
Though it made him feel bad for this omega who did nothing wrong, the marriage was probably a political one. However, he couldn’t help but feel a bit giddy that despite Dohyun marrying three months after his death, he was not close to his spouse.
Did that mean Dohyun actually loved him? Well that would be too much to expect but he guessed, Dohyun had some obligation towards their four years of working together and two years of fling.
