The following morning, the members of !VVO prepared to leave Basmet Town.
For three days, they had worked alongside the townspeople, repairing damaged homes, distributing supplies, and helping families recover from The Day of Rupture.
For the first time in years...
The name !VVO wasn't spoken with fear.
It was spoken with uncertainty.
Some believed they had changed.
Others believed it was only an act.
As the final crates were loaded onto the trucks, Hollow took one last look across Basmet Town.
The streets were still scarred by the explosion, but life had slowly begun to return.
Children played outside once again.
Small businesses reopened.
Smoke no longer filled the sky.
Lament walked beside Hollow.
"I'd say Plan B was a success."
Hollow remained silent.
"...No."
Lament looked at him.
"It served its purpose."
He turned toward the convoy.
"Plan B was never meant to last forever."
Lament raised an eyebrow.
"...Then what comes next?"
Hollow smiled faintly.
"We move forward."
The members gathered around as Hollow addressed them one final time.
"Plan B began because we needed to prove that !VVO could change."
He looked around at every face before continuing.
"And you all proved it."
Several members smiled.
Some quietly applauded.
"Our work doesn't end here."
"It begins here."
The members exchanged determined glances.
"From today onward..."
Hollow paused.
"...there is no Plan B."
"There is only our future."
The members of !VVO nodded together.
As the convoy departed Basmet Town, Hollow looked back one last time through the truck's window.
The town that had once represented his greatest loss...
Had become the place where a new beginning was born.
Plan B had come to an end.
Not because it had failed...
But because it had become the foundation for everything that would come next.
