“Heyyy” I whined. “Mom!” 

She’s only 2 years younger than me. I’m eating dinner with my family. I cherish them more than anything. I love my mom and my little sister. Not my ex. My mom actually adopted us. I'm so glad for her to be a part of our lives. My sister sighs as usual and rolls her eyes always on her phone texting her imaginary “friends”. She gets bothered by anything.

“Tell her to stop interrupting my thoughts.” I playfully pouted. My sister chuckles, eyes glued to her phone. “You'll be fine.” “Luna...” I lean over to Luna and force her into my arms to hold her close. “Love you, he he!” I smiled. I lean back to my seat and continue eating. My mom made my favorite. Mashed potatoes with vegies, and beans. I don't really have an appetite for dinner at the moment. My fork danced around the food. Poking the soft gooey mashed potatoes then stabbing the green beans. My sister is fed up. “sighh, love you too. I guess”

My mom clears her throat. “So. How was your day at school?” “It was good mom.” I answered. My phone buzzes. It's a notification from Instachat... from Sophie. 

“U coming”?

My eyes lit up as if a lightbulb turned on while my heart beats fast. Like a hit of dopamine. How could I forget there's supposed to be a party at 9:00? I glanced and squinted at the clock on the stove. 8:30. Shit! I have just about a little time to get ready. “Uhhh” I declared scooching my chair backwards. “Today was so stressful. I'm going to see if I can go to sleep early.” Mom looks kind of unconvinced. “I promise. How many times have I ever disappointed you?”

 Lunas rolls her eyes. My sisters always on her phone but she overhears everything. Mom chuckles. “Ok Hunny you can. Go and take your shower.” “Oh, thank you mom!” I rejoiced. I got up my seat quickly and hugged my mom. “I won't disappoint you”. I then dashed up the stairs. Luna looks up from her phone, shaking her head, and looking up at mom. “I'm not washing the dishes by the way.” Mom laughs. 

As i dashed up the stairs my phone buzzes once again and its Sophie.
