Alex’s one of very old and most hated rivals was Boris. Boris and Alex met each other first during their college days. They both used to play in college basketball teams and from those days itself their rivalry was talk of town.
This rivalry meanwhile had taken a twisted turn when Asher came into Alex's life. For Boris when he first saw Asher it was love at first sight but unfortunately the love was one-sided only. Asher was a loyal and devoted lover of Alex but he was a good friend of Boris.
The day Asher died Boris lost hope in love and in any humane feelings either. He couldn’t bring himself to accept the fact that Asher, his one true first love, was dead, just because of a mere bad decision taken by his one and only enemy.
Boris' face fills with a tense expression as Alex cuts the call from the other end. He sits beside the big window of his apartment. He looks at the chaotic city from his room’s window. As he looks down at the buildings filled with light a sudden memory of his love appears in front of his eyes.
The memory of one time, when in the early stage of talking with Alex, Asher had visited Boris’s house. It was a day which left a deep impression on Boris’s heart. Asher was so small, he was so fragile, and the way he talked with those stars in his eyes had made Boris’s heart flutter and his body surge with new emotions of love.
Asher was looking outside from the same window of Boris’s room, with a gentle smile on his face he said “Boris you know I sometimes feel Alex is not what he shows to the world. He is different, he is unique. When he speaks it feels like the words coming out from that mouth have depth. They carry lessons.” Asher's eyes gleamed with joy as he spoke.
Boris with a disappointed look on his face says in a lower yet gentle tone “I seriously don’t get what you have seen in him. But if you are happy, I think that’s what matters.”
Boris intently looks at Asher who was still looking outside from the window with stars in his eyes. Boris Asher’s presence alone was enough. The fragrance of his clothes, the warmth of his words all were so alluring to Boris that he couldn't stop himself from falling for that guy in front of him.
Asher suddenly becomes a little serious and in a little nervous tone again speaks “Alex feels as if he belongs to a different world. Just like celestial bodies which belong somewhere beyond this universe out of reach from a small human like me.”
Asher chuckles softly as he continues “For some time now, I’ve been wondering whether he will ever bend for anyone – whether he will ever make an effort to bridge this gap. Boris, what do you think? Will he ever do that?”
Asher looks back at Boris with a gentle smile on his face. The city lights reflected on the window makes Asher's face glow, and at that moment Boris mummers to himself in a very low tone almost inaudible to everyone except him.
“I can and I will. Only if you look at me forever.”
Boris' eyes fill with tears as he opens them to wake up from the precious memory. He looks outside again from his window and thinks in his mind you chose him with all those differences, never looking at the other side. You always knew I was there. Don’t you? He again shuts his eyes closed.
Alex was a few inches apart from Liam. As he whispers those words of desire in Liam’s ears, a sudden feeling of guilt traps his mind. A voice of resentment echoes in his mind which says Liam is a student? He is not the refuge you are seeking. You idiot. Don’t forget the consequences that such intimacies bring.
As Alex was about to move his head away from Liam who was sleeping peacefully, Liam grabs Alex’s hand. Alex looks at Liam in confusion as he had grabbed him in his sleep, Alex tries to loosen Liam’s grip but as he does so, Liam breaks down in tears.
Liam in his sleep says softly, while tears flow down his cheeks “Don’t do this. I’m sorry. Don’t go away. I will be by your side, don't try that, it's dangerous.”
Alex gently wipes away his tears. He tries to calm Liam who was breaking down in sleep. Alex then again leans towards Liam and gently puts a soft peck on his forehead. Liam calms down and Alex again gets lost in the view; in those features of Liam, he was admiring for a while now.
After a while Alex gently tries to move but Liam suddenly grabs him by his collar and again pulls him towards himself. Liam looks at Alex’s confused expression, Liam had earlier the urge to kill the person leaning on top of him, but now the expressions on Alex’s face were making Liam’s thoughts go twisted.
A smirk appears on Liam’s face as he pulls Alex closer to himself and in a freaky and teasing tone Liam says “What happened? You were happy with this situation initially. Where were you headed from here?”
“You were the first to make a move Alex. Now what? You don’t dare?”
Alex suddenly becomes serious and grabs Liam’s hands. A smirk appears on his face as he sees Liam struggling to get out from his grip, he closes the few inches gap and whispers in Liam's mouth.
“And what if I dare?”
