What a cunning old man? He thinks he is like some god or what? I am so done with his freaky behaviour. It was just a small pack but he made it sound like we did that thing. Oh, I am so frustrated. I should keep my distance from him, otherwise I will lose my sanity too. Thinks Liam as he sits parallelly on the dining table to Alex. 

Liam quickly finishes his breakfast. He was eager to leave the place. He was feeling awkward to share the same place with a cunning person, who just speaks to tease him. He looks at Alex who was peacefully eating his breakfast as he stuffs the bread inside his own mouth.

Alex felt that burning gaze of rage on his face and took a sip of orange juice and said “If you keep on looking at my face like that, I fear you might choke on your food.” He chuckles as Liam gets startled by those words. 

“Well Liam, I wanted to know something from yesterday. Would you mind telling me what you were doing at the bar yesterday?” Alex says while looking at Liam who was focused on finishing his food.

“I clearly remember sending you off myself. Then what were you doing again at the bar? Were you looking for me?” Alex asks Liam in a serious tone. 

Liam gets a little uncomfortable. He drops the bread on the plate and thinks about the excuse he was going to give. He didn’t want Alex to know that he came to the bar because he saw those men entering the place and he was worried for Alex. So, he tries to play a little trick.

Liam gives a lame excuse and says “I forgot my student id in your car and that’s why I came back to take it but as I was going to the bar, I met someone. He was one oddball and was a weirdo with red hair, he kept talking bullshit and was asking about someone.”

Alex becomes tensed as he realises the person Liam is talking about is no other than Boris. He in a little tensed tone asks “About someone. Who? What was he asking? Did he harm you?”

Liam gets surprised by the response of Alex as he didn’t anticipate such a big reaction from a cold guy. But he replies “I don’t know. I forget that name. But it feels like he was quite obsessed with him. But not in a good way.”

Alex gets a little disappointed but, in his mind, he was aware of Boris' actions. He knew why he was suddenly appearing in his life once again. And why he chooses Liam from all to provoke him. 

Liam takes the last bite from his plate and finishes it off with milk. After finishing the interrogation cum breakfast session Liam gets ready to leave the place. Alex also finishes his breakfast and comes to the door to see him off. 

Liam takes a breath of relief as he was finally free to go and says “Thank you so much Alex. I am grateful for your help. I will make sure to repay your kindness. See you at the college.”

Alex looks into Liam’s eyes which were filled with gratitude. As he continues to look into Liam’s green eyes the memory of yesterday’s night flashed before his eyes. Alex suddenly breaks off their eye contact and takes his hand out and stretches in front of Liam for a final handshake.

Liam takes his right hand out from his pocket and shakes hands with Alex and smiles. He then takes his leave and goes towards the elevator. Liam was standing in front of the elevator waiting for it to come and suddenly he remembered something. 

Doorbell sound attracts Alex’s attention. He goes to open it and is surprised to see Liam at the door. In shock he asks Liam “What happened? Are you okay?”

Liam looks a little restless as if he wanted to say something but waiting for his turn to say. As soon as Alex stops asking, he immediately says “I remembered the name.”

Alex gets confused and again asks “Name. What name? I don’t get it”

Liam cuts him off and says “That guy I met yesterday outside the bar when I was coming. He asked me about one person. Remember, I just told you about it.”

Alex replies as he remembers “Oh yes, you told me. What was the name?”

Liam replies in excitement “It was Sasha. He kept asking about this person. He even asked me what my relationship is with this person. I didn’t know anyone like that so I didn’t get it but yeah, he was quite interested in this person.”

Alex, filled with anger, gets furious as Boris had intentionally mentioned this name in front of Liam. But on the other side he felt relieved because no one besides Boris or people related to his past business knew this name.

Alex in a serious tone says to Liam “Take care of yourself. And next time avoid such people. You should keep your wits about you. Don’t get involved in such incidents again. And tell me if you feel anything off. Do you get it.”

Liam becomes more surprised at such a response and replies “Yes, I will keep it in mind. Then I will get going now. See you at the university.”

Liam takes the elevator and goes out of the apartment building. He was going towards the nearest bus stop; he couldn't stop thinking about Alex's words. He felt that Alex was a little bit protective of him, the warmth of Alex’s actions and care he had shown had moved something in Liam’s heart. 

Liam keeps on replaying the incidents that happened at night in his mind and a sudden feeling emerges in his body. He sits down at the bench of the bus stop and thinks in his mind You are really something. I bet you want to forget everything that happened. I know all this - be mature, be an adult kind of bullshit. Don’t even think about giving me this crap. I know you are capable of setting aside your pride for someone. And I’m going to bet on becoming one. Liam softly chuckles as he thinks that in his mind.
