Cowain Auswryd (usually pronounced 'ow-ss-weird', because almost no one can pronounce it properly):

Generally called 'Auswryd Senior'. The 'aus' part of his name is pronounced by rounding the sound, though the 'R' tangles up people's tongues so effectively that it's nearly impossible to curse them with magic. 'Wid' is pronounced almost as 'wood', leading to some misspellings that have unintentionally further protected the family from curses and malicious magic users.

Currently using the alias 'John' to avoid his name being used to magically curse him while he is out and about dealing with other species. First name remains unknown to anyone but his own kind.

Humans would call him a 'Dhampire', or a half Vampire.

He is an Esek. His father's species was frequently confused for the 'Blood Cursed', who now call themselves Vampires.

He rescues – via kidnapping, much to wife's vexation – abused children that the authorities won't help. His wife calls this 'creching'.

Kaiden Eirlaw:

Real surname unknown. Kwere father (wolf bones), Romani mother. Her mother followed the traditional trade of her family being a weaver. She decided to also become a tailor and was becoming quite well-off when the Hunters found her family. The Hunters tried to kill the entire community and thought that they had succeeded. Auswryd Senior happened to be nearby and managed to save and relocate most of them to somewhere safer. However, Kaiden had been, by then, kidnapped by her parents' murderers.

Mother of Keira Ebony.

Keira Ebony:

 The daughter of Mila Ebony.

Has the ability to control photons and can turn them into 'hard light', though she doesn't yet know that and sh is too nice to make lasers.

 Brown-skinned; medium-light to medium dark depending on whether Enfys lets her get outside enough during the day or not. Amber-eyed.

Kita Citrine:

A child kidnapped by Enfys for the Voss.

Petalsoft Born of Stars:

A Nyakka Warrior High Priestess and old friend and ally of Visea Teué. She's aware of the time-space issues on Earth and came anyway.

Greenstone Born of Stars:

A warrior brought by Petalsoft with the promise of killing a Voss Queen.

Dancinglight Born of Stars:

A Warrior Priestess and ally of Petalsoft, she had once been a Voss Queen, but ascended, burning away her form and then descended as a Nyakka to help them stop the Voss. Only Petalsoft knows of her true origins.

Lifebreath Born of Stars:

A Warrior Priestess dedicated to eradicating the Voss.

Waterflow Born of Stars:

A Warrior Priestess dedicated to eradicating the Voss.
