Names are such deeply personal things. It's why I try to take great care when choosing names for characters; the name forms a huge part of their identity. Granted, I'm also sneaky - I like to choose names whose meanings relate to their personalities or roles in my stories; they're either subtle clues as to where to the story is going or just me choosing based on a theme in each story. Ex: I chose the names of members of a family to reflect their occupation (farmers), with meanings like green, spring, flowers, plants, etc.
What is as old as time, yet fresh as dawn's light?
It dances in moonbeams, and lingers through the night.
A magic born with a smile, a fire unseen,
What is it, that burns but remains evergreen?
