Juno returned to tapping her finger and Eunji thought if Juno had her other hand it would be rubbing her temple as she looked like she was suppressing a bubbling rage. Everyone was staying quiet but attentive to Juno and Eunji’s last words seemed to make everyone start thinking as well.

Juno finally stopped tapping and started talking, “What better way to prevent being questioned by a Lycan that can smell lies? The dead can not speak.” Eunji felt uneasy from the same words Starlight spoke and started to nervously wonder if Juno could read thoughts.

Eunji nervously wiggled a bit when another thought came to her mind “Where did Johnny get that money to pay Ethan to drug us?” Eunji asked and everyone looked at Eunji, making Eunji feel anxious. “H-He didn’t have any money when I kicked him out.”

“And he never saved money and he was cut off by his family.” Lucy interjected and Eunji felt the eyes all off her but now she felt anxious for Lucy now. “He would complain about it when he got drunk.”

Eunji could hear the spite in Lucy’s voice when she spoke about Johnny and crossed her arms as if she didn’t want to speak more about him. Eunji reached out to lightly tug on Lucy’s sweater and she relaxed as she moved to hold Eunji’s hand.

“Eva, look deeper in this thread,” Juno looked at Eva and she nodded to her mother. Juno leaned back in her seat before looking at Rose. “Rose, take Eunji and Lucy to Ghost main den when you head out and have them look over Keith’s room…after breakfast"

“Yes, Madam,” Rose said as Maria gave Juno a casual two finger salute and turned with Rose to return to the kitchen. Eva started to walk toward the door to the hall but stopped when Juno cleared her throat and Eva changed direction to sit at the table.

“Food is fuel for the mind and body,” Juno stated and Eunji felt this was a blanket statement for all of them to listen to. “And we are lycans, so we need more to work at peak condition.” Eunji thought she caught Eva rolling her eyes at her mother’s words but she couldn’t tell if she was just seeing things. 

Eunji was sitting in the back seat of Rose’s suv with Lucy and had the sound canceling headphones on. The city sounds outside the vehicle were worse today and it was just over simulating for her and Starlight. Lucy was originally in the front seat but she made her way into the back seat and was trying to comfort Eunji by petting and holding her close.

While Eunji couldn’t hear them speak, she could still see Rose and Lucy talking and Rose seemed slightly irritated. From context clues it was from slower than normal traffic and it got worse as we got closer to the Ghost Pack main den. Rose finally turned off the road and stopped in front of the iron gate.

Lucy tugged on the headphones and Eunji slid them to hang around her neck. The city sounds had become muffled and someone walked up to the driver side of the suv. He looked like a Russian mobster with his all black outfit and his furious looking face.

Rose rolled down her window and the two started to speak in Russian. They started to look apologetic with each reply as Rose was getting more and more annoyed but stopped as another man came running to them.

This new man was short, maybe four feet and six inches tall, and built muscular and wide. His short slicked back hair was pale blonde, almost white, and medium fluffy beard that gave him a very friendly aura to him.

He was dressed like lumberjack with his red plaid and blue jeans. He gently waved the other man back, “I’m sorry, Rose, but there was an explosion and put all our wolves on edge.” He said.

Eunji saw Rose relax from the man's words, “Is that why there are police at the front gates, Casper?” Rose asked. “Your police, I hope.”

“That is why and yes our pack’s police officers.” Casper said and gave Rose a gentle smile. “Why don’t I join you in there, so you don’t get pulled over by other members.” 

Rose smiled back then unlocked the door and Casper went around the front to get in the passenger seat. Rose rolled up the window and looked back to them, “Lucy and Eunji, this is Casper Dmitriev, the second in command of the Ghost pack.” Rose introduced Casper, who looked into the back seat at them.

“Hello, Ladies,” He said with a jolly smile and for some reason the image of Santa Claus popped into Eunji’s mind. “My wife would have come to greet you two but she’s dealing with the police.”

Rose started to drive down the back driveway as the gates were opened and Casper gave Rose direction while talking her ear off but Rose didn’t seem to mind his chatter. She stopped the suv in front of the garage and Eunji spotted a familiar figure standing outside of it, Aaron and Jax.

Both Lucy and Eunji rushed out of the suv and once out of it Eunji moved faster than Lucy as Eunji rushed past her. “JAX!” Eunji yelled out as she hugged Jax at full speed, who easily stayed on his feet.

Jax let out a laugh and spun around while hugging Eunji back, Eunji felt her feet lift off the ground as he spun. “Hey there, Eunji.” Jax laughed and she noticed his dreads were black. 

“Your hair is back to black.” Eunji pointed out and it took her a second. “Ah, you must have fully changed.” The memory of Maria’s hair turning back to all natural after fully transforming into her full moon form.

“Ya, wished they told us that.” Jax sighed as he let go of Eunji to play with one of his dreads. “It even messed with my dreads but not the first time I had to fix them.”

Eunji tilted head as her nose twitched as she smelt the scent of some kind of paint. “Hey Aaron, is your van fixed up enough for Jax to paint it again?” Eunji asked and Aaron shook his head.

“Nope, I’m still working on the engine.” Aaron said and Lucy gave him a pat on the back to comfort him. “Ah, the paint smell.”

“Boss lady got me to paint some pack cars.” Jax explained and put his hands behind his head. “Casper is planning to get me to paint some of his company vans next.”

Lucy moved behind Eunji and draped her arms over Eunji’s shoulders while resting her chin on Eunji’s head. Both men perked up and smirked, “So, have something to tell us?” Aaron teased and Eunji just smirked at them then stuck out her tongue playfully. This made everyone laugh but stopped when Rose cleared her throat.

Everyone looked at Rose, “We came to see if one of you can put context to anything in Keith’s room…” Rose trailed off before sighing while rubbing the bridge of her nose. “Well what’s left of his room.”

“The explosion was in his room?” Eunji asked and glanced at Jax and Aaron with worry. Both of them looked alright and they didn’t move like people who were hurt.

“That’s right but thanks to protections in each room it only damaged his room.” Casper reassured Eunji with his soft smile. “Jax was still in a silver room and Aaron’s room is on the opposite side of the house.”

“Both of us slept through it all.” Aaron said and Eunji could hear embarrassment in his tone. “Maybe if we were awake we could lessen the fire damage in the room.”

“I doubt that, you’re double weak to fire now, remember.” Jax pointed out and put his hand on his cousin’s shoulder. “Also it’s not like you would escape Daniella’s grip.”

Aaron turned bright red from Jax bringing up Daniella and Lucy raised a brow, “Guess I’m not the only one that got lucky~” Lucy teased and Eunji turned red as well.

“We aren’t here to talk about who got lucky or private moments.” Aaron tried to redirect and Jax was trying to hide his smug smile with his hand as Aaron was bright red in the face.

“He’s right, y-” Casper was cut off by cellphone dinging and he pulled it out to look at him. “The room has been cleared and everything safe has been moved to the second garage.”

Eunji and Lucy glanced at Jax and Aaron with raised eyebrows. “The first garage is a work station for repairs and painting. The second garage is for parking and storage for working vehicles.” Aaron explained and Jax nodded along with his words.

“Come along, children, we have charred evidence to look through.” Rose said with a clap of her hands and a playful smile. Normally Eunji felt insulted if someone called her child but knowing Rose’s age made that comment less insulting and more truthful.

No one argued with Rose and followed her and Casper to the other garage. When they entered the other garage Eunji spotted all sorts of cars, both classic and modern but she couldn’t name any of them. After the cars her eyes trailed to some tables and a bunch of open boxes and the smell of burnt items for them.

“Glove up, you may have healing factor but getting spitters or pricked still hurts like a bastard.” Casper said as he walked over to the box by a toolbox cabinet. “While our boys in blue may keep any dangerous material out of those boxes, it’s better to be safe.” He turned around and tossed a pair of gloves at Jax and Aaron and waved for Eunji and Lucy to pick out a pair of gloves.
