After everyone was gloved up, we started to look through the boxes and Rose and Casper were talking about something. Eunji focused on the items in the box she was looking through and paid no attention to their conversation. 

The box Eunji was looking through was mostly charred clothing but she stopped when Lucy blurted, “That bastard!” Everyone looked at her and she was holding a burnt manga book. “He said he already gave back my volume of Bleach fourty-six!”

Eunji and Aaron let out a chuckle and Jax looked puzzled. “I wonder what else he stole.” Jax asked as pull out the burnt canvas, “This used to be one of my paintings that went missing.” That made everyone quiet before returning to search and felt like everyone was keeping a sharper eye on their search.

Eunji moved a burnt shirt only to take a pause of a pair of black lace panties and she pulled them out of the box. “Why would he have…” She trailed off as the size of them and while the smell of smoke was strong, she could smell the owner’s scent, her scent. 

She started to shake in silent rage and beat red as she realized what she was holding. Even Starlight was hissing in disgust as she picked up their scent and different scents Eunji refused to think of. “What did you find there, Eunji?” Lucy asked as leaned over to peak.

Eunji let out a low hissing sound and felt her blood boiling, “T-THAT PREVERT!” Eunji finally yelled out and Lucy flinched from the murderous aura coming off Eunji. 

Eunji felt her hands heat up and before she knew it the panties went up in flames. The flames didn’t hurt Eunji’s hands and she felt the panties turning into ash in her hands. Before she could say anything, a blast of white blurred her sight for a second and she turned her head to see Jax with a fire extinguisher in hand.

“That my children was Kumiho fire,” Rose said and Eunji looked to the other side of her to see her standing beside Eunji. Rose pulled a handkerchief out and wiped away something from Eunji’s face, “While good instincts and reflexes, Jax, but I think Eunji could’ve pulled back the small flame like that.” 

Eunji poured the ashes on the table and she noticed her gloves were completely fine from the fire. Rose gave Eunji a look of wanting to know what set Eunji off and Eunji bit her lower lip but gave up. “Old pair of panties…my panties and…other scent.” Eunji snarled and the garage became silent. 

“I see…” Rose finally said and patted Eunji’s head. “Are you done with that box then?” Eunji shook her head and started to go through the box once more. “Alright, get back to work everyone.”

Rose returned to Casper and as she commanded everyone returned to looking through the boxes. There were a few more items that didn’t belong to Keith, like Aaron’s grandpa’s pocketwatch or more manga from Lucy’s collection or Jax’s parent’s wedding rings or Eunji’s father’s dogtags.

“This whole time I thought it was Johnny who was stealing from us.” Aaron said as held his grandpa’s pocketwatch and it luckily untouched from the flames. “I guess while we were looking at him, Keith was slipping his fingers into our pockets.”

“I remember going to all the local pawn shops in the area looking for these.” Jax said as held the only thing he had left of his parents. “But why would he steal these things but not sell them?”

“I understand not to sell my manga as a mass produced thing.” Lucy tilted her head as she looked at the burnt manga. “But those rings have some pricey emerald rings and that pocketwatch would get a fair price for it.”

“And what he stole from me was far more…personal.” Eunji shivered before clutching her father’s dogtags to her chest. Eunji started to think of her mother and felt deep sorrow in her heart. “I should call her…”

“Who should you call?” Rose asked from just behind her and Eunji almost jumped out of her skin. Eunji turned bright red as everyone chuckled and she turned to see Rose having the most satisfying smile on her face.

“M-My mother, we left on bad terms.” Eunji muttered and glanced away but something caught her eye. In one of the boxes that Jax looked through was the tip of a picture and Eunji went over to take it out.

She was careful as it was badly burnt and it was Keith with two other people. While one of the people was almost burnt out of the image, it was still clear it was a man and he was a very big man too. The other person was a woman similar age as Keith and she had long auburn hair and dark blue eyes. The thing that made Eunji’s blood turn cold was the woman’s right ring finger had a tattoo black ring and the left pinkie and ring finger was missing.

“Ya, I saw that picture, it used to have names on the back of it but…” Jax trailed off as Eunji turned around the picture and the names were burnt off. “Though I do remember Keith told me that was his uncle and cousin in that picture. I can’t remember the uncle's name but I think the cousin was named Mathilda.”

“Jax, the wraith that pulled Johnny through the wall…” Eunji trailed off as Rose walked up with a baggy and held it open for the picture, which Eunji gently placed in it. “She had the same tattoo and missing fingers.”

Everyone was quiet and it was Arron to speak first, “But what was the point of using the drug to transform into a lycan, if he had a cousin, who was lycan?” Aaron asked as took off his gloves. “I don’t get it.”

“We have a theory that someone is building an army to take over one of the territories in the city.” Eunji explained to her friends and started explaining everything they figured out and theorized.

Casper cleared his throat as Eunji finished up. “We also think you four weren’t meant to be picked up by our police but our boys got there before they could grab you.” Eunji rubbed her chin and wondered why Kieth left now. “Another theory we have is that Keith left because he kept finding himself in the silver room and couldn’t spy on our pack that way.”

“That’s right, he kept picking fights with me or other members of the pack.” Jax snarled and for the first time Eunji saw Jax’s eyes shift to bright gold. “Thinking back, most of the people he picked fights with were people of color.”

Eunji glanced at Aaron with raised brow. “Not me, I think he was scared of me after I pulled out the engine with my bare hands.” Aaron smirked and Eunji gave him a smirk and another raised brow. “That engine had it coming.”

“Very true, it gave three mechanics headaches and they were close to doing the same thing.” Casper chuckled and rocked on his heels playfully. “He would have been put in a silver room but he gently set it on the ground, as if it was an egg, so we gave him a pass.”

“But if we weren’t meant to be picked up by the Ghost pack police members, why do we think Keith was a spy?” Jax asked and glanced at the stolen items. “I won’t dismiss him as being a thief and racist.”

“Simple, the cameras caught Keith not fighting the raiders and I don’t think he originally meant to be a spy but just became one due to us grabbing you first.” Casper stopped his rocking. “I’m starting to think grabbing Keith was also a test to our response to it.”

“I quite agree with you, Darling,” A woman’s voice called out and it had a russian accent. Everyone looked to the voice and sound of the click clack of heels.

A pale woman that matched heights with Rose walked towards them and her hair was deep red, pulled up in a tight bun. Her eyes were brighter red and she was giving off vampire vibes due to her appearance.

She wore a black suit and skirt combo and over her shoulders was a grey wool military coat. Around her neck were dogtags but not standard Canadian, instead if memory serves Eunji, they were Russian dogtags.

“Hun Bun!” Casper yelled, which made Eunji and Lucy freeze from the pet name Casper just called his wife. Rose was trying her best to stifle her laughter from the reaction the young wolves had and of Casper walking up to his very tall wife.

It looked like Casper was about to hug his wife’s hips, as he would only reach that high, but she gently put her hand on his head. Eunji thought it was rejection but shifted it more like ‘Not here in front of new wolves’.

Casper spun around with a big grin on his face, “This is my lovely wife, Diana Dmitriev!” Casper said and Eunji couldn’t stop seeing him doing the famous Will Smith meme pose. “She is the top Chief Judge in this city and leader of our pack!”

Jax leaned over to Eunji, “We should have warned you, Casper is head over heels for his wife.” He whispered but Eunji figured everyone in this room could hear his words. “They’ve been married almost eighty years now.”

Eunji gently grabbed Lucy’s hand and Lucy responded by intertwining her fingers with Eunji. ‘Our Sunshine,’ Starlight whispered in Eunji’s head and Lucy raised up Eunji’s hand to kiss the back of it. ‘Our Starlight.’ A deep unfamiliar voice rumbled in Eunji’s head but at the same time was familiar.

Eunji flinched at first from the voice but settled as Lucy’s eyes locked onto hers. “I hope we can have such love.” Eunji whispered and Lucy smiled back.

“Well I have never seen Eunji that sappy before.” Jax said, which made Eunji turn bright red and buried her face into Lucy’s shoulder. She refused to look at him but she knew Aaron was comically nodding with Jax.

Lucy let out a playful growl from her throat and Eunji heard Aaron and Jax chuckling. “Then again, just look at who she was dating last. I don’t think she could get too sappy with him.” Aaron said. 

Eunji finally turned her head to look at the two men teasing her, “To be fair, I was sappy at being in that relationship but…” Eunji gave them a pouty face. “He just kept draining me of joy and money.” Eunji felt Lucy nuzzle the top of head and let out a murring sound from her throat.

Rose walked behind Lucy and Eunji and put her hands on their shoulders, “I think it is time I get my pups back home,” Rose said and looked at Diana with a sharp eye. “Or are you planning to question them?”

Eunji could feel a cold stare from Diana for a few silent seconds before waving her hand in a dismissive manner and saying something in Russian. After saying it Eunji noticed Diana take a pause before saying, “No questions, but keep us informed if new information comes up. I don’t like surprises.” She said and Eunji spotted Casper weakly chuckle from the last part.

“Good, you two say your goodbyes while I have a private talk with Diana and Casper.” Rose said and ruffled Lucy and Eunji's hair. “Do it at the other garage though, okay?”

Eunji chuckled and Lucy shook her hair around to fix it. They left the garage without fuss and walked to the other garage while Aaron and Jax tell them about their lives in the pack. Eunji enjoyed hearing that Jax and Aaron were being treated well and comfortable in the Ghost pack, minus the moments from Keith’s outbursts.

“What I still don't understand, why he took the items that he took…besides Eunji’s….” Aaron trailed off as he toyed with his pocketwatch to see if would start up.

“If I had to guess, greed and ego.” Jax said as leaned against the garage door. “He thought he deserved those items…Though for taking Eunji’s father's dogtags, I have a different theory.”

“To play the hero.” Lucy interjected and Jax snapped his fingers as agreement. Eunji slid her hand into her pocket, where she put the dogtags, remembering how torn up she felt when she lost them. “But he didn’t get a chance with all the chaos of breaking up with Johnny caused.”

“Now that I start thinking back to interaction with Keith…He’s always been distant with you guys and creepy towards me.” Eunji said and everyone slowly nodded. “But the way he did it was…”

“Sneaky,” Lucy said.

“Sly,” Aaron said.

“Shifty,” Jax said.

“Devious,” Rose interjected and everyone jumped from Rose appearing out of nowhere. “Remember, you may have super senses but they are no use if you aren’t paying attention.”

“Noted.” Jax said as rubbed his chest. “Guess you're done talking with the boss.” Rose nodded and Eunji moved to hug Jax.

“Be safe, you fool.” Eunji said before moving to hug Aaron. “And you keep the fool safe.”

“Of course, little bean.” Aaron softly said as he hugged back and Jax playful scuffed as Lucy hugged him. Before Eunji knew it the hugs became a group hug between the four young wolves and it felt bittersweet to let go than leave in Rose’s suv.
