Kanato smiled, taking off his tie before setting his bag down next to the door. “Thanks for inviting me over. This week has just been horrible,” he said, letting out a long sigh.

“Yeah, I’ve noticed you’ve seemed a little off, how about I draw you a bath then we can watch your favorite Sanctum Inspector live if you want,” Satoru offered.

Kanato’s lips crept upward into a smile, “yeah okay. I like the sound of that.”

Satoru headed to the bathroom to get the bath started for Kanato. While it was filling he went to his room to grab Kanato a change of clothes as well as a towel.

Satoru set them in the laundry room outside of the bathroom.

“Alright, the bath is all ready for you. I’ll be in my room whenever you finish up,” he said.

“Thank you! I’ll try not to take too long,” Kanato smiled and made his way to the bathroom.

Satoru headed into his room and changed out of his stuffy uniform and into sweatpants and a long-sleeve shirt.

It had been a little over an hour and Satoru was starting to grow a little concerned. Not that Kanato couldn’t have a relaxing soak but it just felt like he was taking a little too long… So he decided to go check up on him to make sure everything was alright.

He walked up to the bathroom door and knocked on it, “hey Kanato, everything okay in there?” he asked. He got no response. 

So he tried knocking again, still no answer. Growing increasingly anxious he opened the door to see what was going on. 

When he opened the door he saw Kanato’s head slumped to the side and his eyes were closed. He’d seemingly fallen asleep in the bath.

Satoru was unsure of what to do for a moment. He didn’t want Kanato to think he was being a creep but at the same time he didn’t want Kanato to fall under and drown or something. Satoru walked up to him and gently shook his shoulder.

Kanato immediately jolted awake, eyes wide, “what are you doing in here?”

“You were taking a long time so I thought I’d check on you. I tried knocking on the door and calling out to you but you didn’t respond. So I came in to check on you,” he hastily explained, “I’m sorry. I’ll let you finish up,” Satoru said before exiting the bathroom.

Satoru didn’t wait long before Kanato came into his room.

“Do you feel a bit more refreshed now?” Satoru asked and Kanato nodded.

“Yeah, thanks again,” he smiled.

Kanato walked over to Satoru’s shelf where he kept all his CDs and live DVDs and VHS. He combed through them until he found what he was looking for, a tape with a purple cover.

Kanato then turned Satoru’s TV on and put the tape into the tape player. 

Satoru could already guess which one Kanato put in. It was the live video from the first time they went to see Sanctum Inspector. Everytime without fail Kanato would put the same one on to watch. At this point the two of them knew each second of the tape by heart.

At first Satoru was a little annoyed at the fact that this was the only one Kanato wanted to watch but seeing how much Kanato loved it made him become rather fond of it too. 

No matter how many times Kanato saw the video he was in awe and giddy each time. 

The screen was black for a few moments, letting the intro music play until it swelled to a dramatic climax and the curtain was dramatically lifted as the stage came to life. 

The crowd roared to life and started screaming the band members names.

“Hey Kanato, do you think this will be us someday?” Satoru asked, looking over to Kanato 

Kanato grinned and nodded, “yeah I really hope so. Maybe we can even be an opener for Sanctum Inspector one day.”

“Wouldn’t that be something?” Satoru smiled. 

Kanato grabbed one of Satoru’s pillows and curled up on his side to continue watching.

“Are you tired? Do you want me to shut this off so you can sleep?” Satoru asked.

Kanato shook his head, “yeah I’m tired but I still want to watch.”

“Alright. Just let me know if you need anything.”

“Will do,” Kanato said, his eyes beginning to shut.

It didn’t take all that long for Kanato to fall asleep. He was on his stomach and his head was turned to the side.

Satoru was glad to see that Kanato could finally sleep. He definitely looked better than he had the last few days. 

Satoru hoped that with exams being over they could get back to working more on their music and saving up for their instruments and the many other things they would need.
