|Chapter 5: Star Rage- (|||)

“I don’t know, Mr. Wiggles…” Kira slumped in her seat. “Maybe I should just stay on the ship.” She cleaned the shards up, making sure to not cut herself.

“You know, that air barrier is a real pain.” 

Maren pulled his scarf up, covering the lower part of his face, everything from the nose down. 

 “Yeah? It’s supposed to be.” Voncera smirked, she boosted herself forward once again

Attempting to catch Maren off guard.

“Hey! I wasn’t ready!” 

Maren blocked her punch with the butt of his pistol. He raised the pistol in his free hand, firing at her arm. 

“Maren!” Olgra shouted, “The way to bypass the barrier– cough you have to aim at the opposite side, of where the barrier just blocked you!” She struggled to speak, “You're one smart cookie! Thank you Olgra!” Maren grinned, spinning both pistols

“You just can’t keep your mouth shut can you?” A vein bulged on Voncera’s forehead, “Oh she’s mad.” Maren nodded slowly, he squinted. There's a tiny figure approaching “Is that a mushroom?” He squinted harder

“Maren! Maren! I want to help!” 

Kira stumbled briefly, pulling out two chains from her pocket. One has a spear head at the end, the other has a hook.

 “Sick!” Maren grinned, He jumped up. Firing off two shots, the bullets twirl together. 

Both go separate ways. The bullet on the right hits the barrier, so the one on the left can get through.

“I’m serious Olgra, that analysis of yours has to be a talent!” He slid under Voncera as Kira threw the hook chain. 

The hook wrapped around Voncera’s leg, “Deadeye: Quicksilver"  In an instant Maren fired ten bullets, all ten going in completely different directions. “Star Rage: Degonez!” The beam erupted from Voncera’s palm. It just barely missed Kira. The bullet lodged in her left arm messing with her aim. Voncera coursed energy through her body, forcing her wounds to heal. “Heh.” She flexed her hand briefly. Testing if the movement is restored, “Now. Where were we?” She clapped her hands together, creating a thunderclap, “Kira get down!” Maren shouted, the shockwave alone sent Kira flying back. “KIRA!” His eyes widened, filled with terror “Why you!” Maren used the gun's recoil to launch himself forward. “Deadeye: Hellstorm!” Bullets ricocheted in the form of a star. Surrounding Voncera, “Burst.” Maren snapped his fingers. A light began to rise from the bullets, in the second. They detonated.

Flames burst out in every direction. Her barrier turned to smoke, “What! Impossible!” Voncera gritted, coating her right hand in air, “I will not lose to a runt like you!” The air compressed to a single point. A buzzing sound created from it.

“Star Rage: Cloud Ripper!” The air shot out. The wind around it became electrified, “What?!  Wait.” Maren tapped his chin slowly, thinking of something in that empty mind of his.

“Oh whatever. That stuff is way too complicated.” He spun his pistols, a bar on the barrel starting to fill up.

“Compression shot.” He fired, the bullet tore through the wind. The energy supercharges it. Punching a hole through Voncera’s defenses. 

“What! No!” She screamed, the bullet slammed into her— her own energy surging through her nervous system. Far too much for it to handle.

“Oh man, that's finally over.” Maren collapsed, falling asleep before he hit the ground.

Voncera lay on the ground, unable to move. Her vision slowly fading. 

“Wake up! Maren, get up you idiot!” Olgra shouted, shaking Maren’s shoulder's. Once he got up, he noticed he was now in the doctor's office on the ship, “Uh? I was just in candy land. Now I’m in this boring place.” He muttered

“Did you just call my office boring?!” Olgra’s face turned an angry red, “That’s it! You now have to pay five hundred percent more!” “What?! You can’t do that!”
