The Villain wasn't Supposed to Fall in Love [BL novel]

Regarding Tapas and my stories' future...

Dear readers,
please read this post until the end, because right now I need your help.
I apologize for not reaching out to you yesterday, but the news that Tapas will shut down in a few months surprised us authors as well. No one knew about this, not even Tapas staff (I know for sure because a fellow premium writer told me this morning), so we were all shocked.
It was disheartening to see a platform I started to love and consider a second home, a place where I can just write what I love without being judged, being dismantled without prior notice. It feels like I can't really do anything about it, just like everything I've built thanks to my efforts and your love is just out of my control. I've always hated to lose control over things; that's why I created a character like William (even though he suffered way more than me, poor baby).
But even though I can't control Kakao's decision, I still have control over my works, so I spent yesterday searching for a new home for them and I might have found some solutions.
First of all, I ask you to follow me on social media and/or Patreon. I'll link them in the author's note at the end of this chapter, but you can find them on my profile too. I'm mostly active on Instagram, but you can choose whatever you feel most comfortable with.
I ask you to subscribe to my Patreon as a free member too, because I'll post announcements and updates there too (I'm pretty sure it won't be taken down in the near future, and it doesn't have a nasty algorithm that makes it hard to reach the audience). I promise I won't push you to upgrade if you don't want to; communications will be forever free, just like polls and my sfw drawings (the only paid content are bonus chapters and nsfw drawings). Also, if things go bad with other platforms, I still can upload the chapters over there (for free, obv).
Secondly, I plan to move my works to three new platforms. I'll link them in the author's note as well, but you can find them in my bio too.
The first one is AO3; I chose this one because I know it (I published fanfic a few years ago), and because I'm sure it'll survive the end of the Internet. Right now, it's one of the safest places for writers.
The second one is Scribble Hub. It doesn't have an app, and its interface is quite old-style, but at least it's free. I hate that it has a lot of ai slop, but there's very few alternatives for novels out there.
The third one is Pinya. It's relatively new, but it reminds me of Tapas, and it has very strict anti-AI rules. It has an app, so you can download it, but be patient because they've had a lot more traffic these days due to the Tapas incident.
Right now, I've uploaded the first few chapters, but I'm planning to catch up with Tapas as soon as possible. For now, you can just follow me where you prefer.
Lastly, I have a favor to ask you. I really hate to do this, but I don't have much of a choice, and I don't want your precious support to go to an evil corporation like Kakao.
I don't know if any of you already knew, but there's a threshold for retrieving the inks you donated me. That threshold is set to $25, and right now I'm at $24.50, so I need 50 cents to reach it and claim the money, which is roughly 1k inks. I won't ask you to buy them, but if you have any spare and don't know what to do about them, please consider donating. Every drop matters, not just for me, but for a lot of other authors.
Regarding the update scheduling, tomorrow's chapter will be postponed to next week, so that all of you can read this post, but I'll resume updating as soon as possible and keep on until Tapas shuts down. So for now, just keep reading and supporting the story.
Thank you so much for giving my stories a chance <3 I'm so happy that I've found such incredible and supportive readers, and I hope we'll continue this journey together!
Half-Korean, half-Italian college student Yun Minsoo spends his time doing nothing but eating and playing video games.
But being the youngest son of a wealthy family, Yun Minsoo doesn't care about his future. Grades, a good job? Who cares! He has his papa's money and not a hint of a worry.
But money can't buy immortality, and so the day Yun Minsoo died, his last thought was that he'd really wasted his damn life.
Except... he woke up again soon after in the world of his favorite visual novel, as aide to Corvaliso Maythorne, the villain of the story, and the only way to survive until the end is to make the protagonist fall for him.
But love has never followed anyone's script.
