Hello. I'm sorry. I can't keep this comic going. I didn't have anything in mind for when I started it so suddenly, and now it's ending as quickly as it begun. The reason why I'm stopping is because the comic only works in certain ways and in only specific contexts and topics, so I drained myself of ideas extremely quickly. As someone who has a background in making more videos than static art, I just can't get used to expressing my ideas in comics. I tried to end This Is It as gracefully as I can, and I hope you can accept the short lifespan of this series. I've closed the Facebook and Twitter page for This Is It as well, since it doesn't make much sense keeping accounts for a dead comic open. Feel free to share the Tapastic versions with friends and family; it's not like I never want anyone to ever read this series again. Thank you to everyone who read the comic, and especially anyone who was a fan on Tapastic. Even after using Facebook or Twitter or YouTube for years, I've never seen such a dedicated base of users on a single site. You do you, Tapastic, and please keep being the comic fanatics you are. If you've read this far, I'd like to give you one last comic for listening to me: http://imgur.com/a/sQUGh. I'm going to move on to YouTube and go full-time making videos, but I will never forget this site, be it the fans, the friends, or the comic itself.
I came here expecting another starving artist joke, but I got something else, something more. This comic strip alone is probably one of the best planned strips I've ever seen. It flowed nicely, never having too overly-wordy bubbles, and never dragging out a scene. I liked how you ended with "This Is It", making the series come into a full circle. Also, with the ENTIRE series being full of how the MC was a starving artist, I had the feels for him when he finally got a "stable" job and when he said how he felt about it. This was indeed a graceful ending. If you are unfamiliar with this "static art" then I can't wait to see how your future videos will be like, things within your element :) I've seen some already and I love them <3
Thank you for sharing and dedicating your time to this lovely comic with us on Tapastic vuv
