I almost feel like Yosuke has some inkling as to why his persona disappeared. Up until this point, he's seemed pretty dead-set against everyone helping him get to the root of the issue. I mean, he does make a pretty practical case for why they can't afford to spend time helping him, but I think he wants to keep whatever the cause is to himself. Even in this page, he wants to go in alone and I think that's because he knows what might be in the liquor store and he doesn't want any of the others to know about it.
When Yosuke Hanamura loses his Persona at a crucial moment, the fears and feelings he thought he'd left in the past once again rear their ugly heads. Though his friends - and most importantly Yu - are ready and willing to help, the truth is easier told than faced, and awaiting Yosuke is a self that neither he nor his partner may be able to accept.
