This is my experience of technology generally. Does it perform when you really, really need it to? No. Yet Batman's tech always works, flawlessly. Even when he hijacks all the citizens' mobile phones to make a crowdsourced all-seeing-eye, all of those connect and work perfectly when needed. What's his secret? Oh yes, it's fiction...
