July 25, 1965 - Newport Folk Festival—the annual event that had given Dylan his first real national exposure one year earlier now was shocked to see the man plug in his guitar and go electric in front of a stunned live audience, some of who booed him. He played “Maggie’s Farm.” An, yes, this was actually a big deal at the time.

I used to have a rule: only buy Dylan music on used LPs, so they would be all scratchy and stuff, in order to feel more, I don't know... more Dylan.
