Oh, Katamari. What a strange, yet hilariously addicting game. You play as the Prince, a tiny little green being tasked with rolling up everything in your way to create celestial bodies for the King of the Cosmos. At first your Katamari, the ball used to roll up items, can only grab small things like candies or dominoes. But as the game progresses you’ll find yourself rolling up people to buildings to then even entire planets! Is it weird? Yes. But is it fun? Most definitely, and more satisfying than you could even imagine.
--Verdict--
Art: This is a bright and colorful game. It was fun to play and even more fun to draw.
Gameplay: You use the two joysticks to move and turn. It’s pretty simple, but easy to pick up.
Replayability: Medium. Although rolling up continents is incredibly satisfying, after a while it can become a little tedious. I can see myself picking this up once in a while but not play it continuously.
Would I recommend? Having someone new try this game was almost as fun as playing it myself. For a one-time-try I’d definitely recommend, but I think that there are other games out there that are more desirable.
