EDIT 2: Someone brought up a good point in the comments and i am dumb that I completely forgot about it! So! Changed the wording around a little to shift the tone (?) and move it away from the implication that it was a 'medicine vs prayer' thing bc that was entirely not my intention!

edit: i made this as a comment but just to make sure - Dante doesn't think prayer trumps medicine.

here's what my friend (Dantes creator) said:

"Its not that Dante doubts medicine. He knows they need a doctor. its more the others aren't as compassionate as him. They'll just turn him over and remove themselves from the situation. Dante feels like he'd be abandoning him if they were to hand him over to a hospital."
