Another vision popped up in his mind. The sight wasn’t as blurry as the others; in fact, he could clearly see a horizon of green forests and trees in the distance. He could feel a strong breeze lifting his body. An orange and pink sun hid behind a mountaintop, creating a warm atmosphere, almost nostalgic.
“Don’t you worry,” a voice called to him. His eyes turned to see a young boy a little younger than his age, petting the muzzle of one of two horses. The boy faced Primus. He had dark red hair and bright green eyes. His armor was a shining silver with gold rims, and his cloak was torn at the hem. A coat of arms, in the colors of white, blue and light purple, waved in the wind behind him. On it was an insignia of what appeared to be a crescent moon and stars.
“Nothing bad is gonna happen to me.” smiled the boy. “I won’t stand for it.” For a moment, those words sounded familiar…
“Please, I’m serious.” Primus could feel his lips move. Once again, he had no control of his body. “If anything bad were to happen to you, I would have not only failed on my part as your guard, but I would have failed as your friend.” Primus could feel his legs move towards the other horse and went the the straps around its muzzle. He tugged on the reins to tighten them. “Don’t you realize how important this is, to free this land of that power-hungry madwoman? You are the final piece to our triumph, the only piece, and if you were, and I’m not saying that it’ll happen, but if you were to die—
“Hey, stop. The reins—” the boy tried to speak, but Primus rambled on.
“That she-devil will seize control of the land we hardly know of. She’ll reap it of its sources, its beauty, its adventure! She’ll bring injustice where ever she and her guards turn up, and there will be darkness and poverty and hopelessness and—”
“LUCUS!” A scream pierced through the air as the horse neighed on his hind legs, scaring Primus as he fell backwards and hard on the ground. Then he woke up.
