Me:
Where are you, again?
Chloe:
Rise Street and Frank Road
I decided that texting was too slow, so I switched to voicemail, and just rushed a few words. I wasn't the most experienced driver, and it was particularly hard for me to drive with one hand while texting with the other.
"Okay, I'll be there soon. Are you right at the intersection, or what?"
"Bushes."
I swore. Okay, so, bushes. Awesome. I pulled up and quickly entered the address into the GPS. It only gave me the choice to walk, and after a while, I figured that it was only walking distance...
"Shit, you're kidding me, right? It's over half-an-hour away!"
I let go of the microphone button, and the voicemail was sent. My heart was beating so fast, I barely heard her next voicemail.
"Yeah. Sorry."
I swallowed and picked up speed. Guilt filled me to the rim, threatening to explode.
"Oh, no...Somebody's coming. Wait, we gotta go, um, we'll---Run, Ky!"
The voicemail ended.
It seemed like years ago when we had been flirting through messages. However, I didn't even have to scroll up to see the last one.
I love you, always.
Always.
