I race through the streets, out of breath, bumping into random crates and trashcans. Ugh, running with cuffs is so hard. My throat is burning, I was running for too long. I turn the corner, my converse grinding against the rocky ground, and almost slip on the puddle next to the wall. I quickly regain my balance, and continue running, feeling the space getting thinner and thinner. It gets even harder. The cuffs are cutting into my wrists, making them bleed. But.. I would rather have my wrists bleed than let these stupid thugs catch me. 

I keep on running but feel my legs scream in pain. I'm about to turn another corner when I hear one of them scream behind me "P.G! STOP! GET BACK HERE" I laugh to myself for a second. As if, you idiot. Then, I feel someone grab my arm, and pull me into an opening between two buildings. Damn it, they got me. I thought, as I try to get out of the man's grip. 

I opened my mouth to scream, but he covers it before anything comes out. I am about to bite his hand, when I see the thugs run past the opening, like bulls. I am a bit surprised, but still don't let my guard down. I bite his hand, but all In feel is a glove, and the man mutter "Ow, you brat, stay still for a second." I feel like I heard that voice before, but I don't remember from where. He loosens the grip from my arm, and takes his hand off of my mouth.

"Who are you, and what do you want?" I say, as I try to turn around, but he turns my head back forward. "I just saved you , and those are your first words? So ungrateful." As he says this, he forces me down, and before my knees bend far enough, they give out, and I crash to the ground. Wow... for how long have I been running to make my knees almost break??
