Nik closed his eyes but all he heard was screaming, when he opened them the men were on the ground and a shadowy figure was there.

"Wha..whats..going on?" Nik was surprised to hear a female voice.

"Theses men are shapeshifters…they been spying on me", she picked up the dagger.

“I don’t…” Nik began as she tossed the dagger.

She put her hand on her hip. "It's probably worth a lot, I know your family been having a hard time, maybe you can trade it in at a pawn shop. But, there's a power hidden within the dagger, it will only show itself if your heart and soul is pure.”

He felt numb. "Ms. Sp...sphinx.”

She had a calm expression. "Don't worry. When you return I would have dealt with the trash.”

Nik ran to the boy's bathroom and hid in the stall. "I don’t know what happened and my teacher seems crazy.” He looked down and didn't realize he still had the dagger and gripped it, 15 minutes had passed as he started to head back to class, when Nik stopped at the door it was completely clean like nothing even happened.

¨Hey Nik. What's up?¨ hitting his shoulder. He realized it was Devon and Jet walking in with the rest of the class.

Nik put his hands in his pockets and looked down. "Nothing much.”
