~Nero's point of view.~

“Did you hear that?” Naoki says and looks at me. I close my eyes and a glow forms around my body. I slowly turn into my human form and nod. “Let’s go check. It sounded like Scarlet.” Naoki nods and we run back to where we were. “I was sure I heard her.” Naoki mumbles and sniffs the air. I look at him. “What are you.” I ask and he looks up at me. “It isn’t the time for this.” He says and sniffs the air again. “It’s just a simple question.” I try again. “I’m a demon. I don’t like it though. Because.. I lose co-“ Before he can finishes the sentence I nod in understanding. Glow formed around my body again, making me change back to my fox body. I sniff the air and finds Scarlet’s smell. Naoki looks at me and I Look at him then at my back. He nods and gets up. I quickly sprinted towards the direction the smell is coming from.

Crawling, I try to move forward. The tiger cub that scratched me earlier is still after me. Somehow, I got away but now I’m exhausted. I look backwards and see the cub again. He shows his teeth and takes a leap to jump on me. A shadow formed over my body and it catched the cub and throws it further away again. It runs off out of fear. Surprised, I look up and see a human. The human pulls me up in his arms and pets my head. “Hello, lill guy. You’re a pretty little fellow huh.” He says and my eyes begin to sparkle. ‘Someone thinks I’m pretty?’ I thought by myself. The human starts walking into the direction the shadow/him appeared from. But before I know, I fell asleep in his warm touch.

As I wake up I quickly get up. But fall back to the ground as I forget my paws got hurt earlier. I look down at them and see they’re bandaged up. Then remember a human saved me. I look around and see I’m not in the woods anymore but instead, in a house. The door opens and the human appears in front of me again. He sits down so he isn’t as big as when he’s standing up. “I’m kai.” He says and smiles. “You have a very pretty tail. It’s really fluffy.” He grabs my tail and pets it as he talks. “Do you have a name?” I shake my head. “Wao you understand me?!” I nod. “Awesome. Alright, I’ll call you Nero from now on.” My eyes sparkle again as he smiles. “What’s this pattern on your fur.” He says as he touches my fur. “Oh well. Have a good rest so you can heal up. I’ll be going to sleep now too.” He walks towards the door and I try to follow him. “Want me to sleep here?” I nod. He smiles again and closes the door. He lays down and I curl up again him. We slowly fall asleep like this.

“What are you?!”I wake up and see the human standing up, looking at me with disgust. I get up, feeling like I’ve completely healed up. I tilt my head in confusion. He points at my tails. “You had just one yesterday! What are you!” I put my paw against the pattern he had his hand on yesterday. “I didn’t think much of the fact that you understand me so well and able to reply in your own way, but now you grew another tail?! Get out man. You’re a monster. What’s next, clawing my eyes out?” I back away in fear. “Get out! Gah. I actually liked you. I wish you were human. This wouldn’t have happened if you were human. Now, GET OUT!” He shouts and I run out of the window, going back into the woods.

Few days has passed.. Every day, A new tail grew. Counting it all the way up to 9. I started practicing shape shifting because he said he’d like me if I was a human. After practicing it for almost a month, I was finally able to change into a human. I still can’t control it, and still cant stay human for long, but I wanted to show him, I’m not a monster. I quickly made my way back to the house he lived in. He just got out of the house and looks at me. “9 Tails? You really are a monster. Here to claw my eyes out?” I shake my head as a glow formed around my body. He takes a step back in fear as my body started turning into a human form. The glow disappeared and my body is now human. “S-see you’d like me more as a human right… I practiced..” He formed an awkward smile on his face and steps back again. “he..he.. You’re even more of a monster then I first thought.” I step towards him and the awkward smile, formed into anger. He punched me in the face, which makes me drop to the ground. My concentration went down and I changed back to my fox self. “You’re a monster. I don’t want you anywhere near me.” He said in anger and goes back into his house. I went back into the woods, depressed that my first ever friend, just threw me away as if I was trash.

“I hear voices.” Naoki whispers as he stays low on my back. I as well stay low, sneaking behind some boxes as I try to listen what they’re saying. After about a minute Naoki gets off and walks to the side. I look at him in confusion. A dark glow appears around Naoki and I quickly change to my human form. “Naoki what’s wrong.” Naoki throws a piece of cloth to me and I catch it. It’s the eyepatch Scarlet always wears. “Naoki..” I look up to find Naoki but He disappeared. I look up ahead and see Naoki rushing towards where the sound is coming from. “N-Naoki!” I jump over the box, turning back into a fox and rush after Naoki. A shadow shows up next to Naoki, grabbing him. I quickly hide behind a box, in fear of being seen. Naoki gets overpowered By the shadow and gets tied up. He resists hard but he couldn’t get lose. I look over the box and can’t find them back. I sniff the air and Naoki’s smell is no where to be found, same thing for Scarlet. Both my eyes turn red and I bite the box, completely crushing it. I now sprint, trying to look for them, batting no eye to my surroundings. But no scents or noises to be found.
