What are emotions and why do we feel?

What is anger and why does it burn?

What is an idea and why do we learn?

What is heartbreak and why does it shatter?

What is a soul and why do we matter?

What is hatred and why is it cruel?

What is genius and who is the fool?

What is prejudice and why is it cold?

What is loathing and why is it old?

What is acceptance and where is it now?

What is love and why break it’s vow?

Why do humans make promises they can’t keep,

And why does peace only come in our sleep?

If humanity all feel the same things,

Why do we crave what dissension brings?

We had a dream, a hope, a goal for the future,

A world to protect, to care for and nurture,

But humans are faulty and humans forget,

And what once was a promise is now a regret,

See where we’ve been, see where this road goes,

When will this war end, nobody knows.
