Shadows POV
When I opened my eyes, everything was a blur. I shook my head to clear my vision. Once I regained it I saw that I was in a bed wearing a paper gown. I looked to my right and saw a dresser and a mirror. I started to look to the left of me and saw a metal sliding door across from my bed. There was nothing on the left wall so I looked next to my bed to see a metal nightstand and a what seemed to look like a window. I couldn't tell from the angle. I sit on the edge of the bed and see that it is indeed a window. Walking over to it, there is a view of a planet.
'Where am I?' I thought confused.
A shiver went down my spine as I realized how cold the room was. Looking back over to the other side of the room at the dresser, I figured that there would be something warmer in it. I stride over to it and open the top drawer. Inside were gloves and socks. I took out a pair of black socks and white gloves before closing the drawer. I reach down to the next drawer and pull it open, there was black boxers. I took a pair out and closed the drawer, opening the next afterwards. I saw brown baggy jeans and pulled one out before once more closing and opening drawers. The very bottom drawer held pajamas.
I looked at the cloths I took out and picked them up before walking over to the bed and setting it down. I took the paper gown off and put all the cloths on. After I finished, I held my arms as the top of my body was now freezing cold. How cold is this room?!
Turning around to the mirror, I notice a handle on the side. Curious, I walk over and pull it to the side. It easily and swiftly slid open to reveal shirts hung on hangers. Well, at least I don't need to complain about being cold anymore... Pulling out a red t-shirt and putting it on, I close the sliding mirror and look at my appearance.
I had on the brown pants, red shirt, along with the gloves and socks. I looked a myself and saw that I was a black furred hedgehog with six quills on the back of my head. Four of them pointing up and the other two down. I had red stripes on the top of all my quills, on my arms, and I noticed some on my legs as well with matching colored eyes.
I walked back to the window and looked at the planet. I looked down at my gloved hands. I turned them over to look at the back of my hands before flipping them to my palms once more. As I'm looking at my hands, I notice something under the bed. I bend down and picked it up. It was a shoe... a metal one. Reaching back under, I picked up the other before setting them down and sitting myself on the edge of the bed. I looked at them for a second, taking in the look of the shoes. They were white shoes with red in the trim. I looked the bottom to see that there were little holes.
'They must be mechanical. That would explain why they are made of metal,' I thought.
I put the shoes on and stand up, still looking down at the shoes. They were surprisingly soft on the inside. I walked around the room in them to try them out. They fit perfectly and didn't irritate me at all. I lay down on the bed and stare at the ceiling.
'Where am I? Are there other people here? Of course there is. There was that little girl that I saw. Who is she? Why was she there when I first woke up? I have so many questions right now...' I thought to myself.
I was thinking for a few minutes before I was broken from my thoughts by the sound of people talking outside my door. I sat up to listen but the voices were too muffled for me to hear. Suddenly the talking stopped and the door opened.
