Shadows POV

The Professor has been showing me around the ARK for about an hour or so. I had stopped listening to him though. He was just so boring...

I decided to go around myself and hid in a passing hallway. Professor kept walking and talking about things that I can't even begin to try and describe. Once the Professor was far enough I decided to start exploring this place on my own.

---Time Skip---

I have been walking around for half an hour now. I've figured out that this place is bigger than I had expected it to be. Every once in a while I would see a map and apparently... I'm only on the third of sixteen floors...

As I was standing in front of a map trying to see if I can figure out where I am on this 'space colony'. I give out a low groan of frustration. I then hear a small giggle behind me. I quickly turn around and I see that girl...

'What's her name again? I think it started with an M...?'

"Uh... Hi?" I say to her.

"Hello!" she says in a very cheery tone. "I'm Maria! You must be Shadow! Grandpa told me about you! Do you remember me? We saw each other before you went stationary for two years!"

"Uh... yeah... I remember you..." I said shocked and a bit frightened a bit from her cheery attitude.

Maria giggled some more and said, "I don't mean to be so cheery but I've been waiting to see you awake ever since you were created." She was a bit more calmed down now and didn't have that over cheery tone in her voice.

"Do you need a tour around the ARK? I can show you around if you want me too," she said softly.

I reply with a simple "Sure" before she lightly took my hand started to lead me down the hallway. I started to feel my face get hot from her holding my hand but soon calmed down and let Maria show me around this place. She was a lot more fun to talk to and would occasionally get side tracked and start to talk about something else. I would laugh or giggle a little bit every time she would do that and apologize before getting back on topic. So far I think I'm going to like it here on the ARK. Especially if Maria is here with me. I don't know why but... something about her constant smiling and giggling always makes me feel good...

and I want to make sure she stays happy...
