Shadow's Beginning

Chapter 9

Chapter 9

Jul 09, 2017

Shadows POV

Another needle was put in my arm and I am once again being injected with some chemical drug. I scream into the muzzle that covers my mouth as the pain courses through out my entire body. The scientists do nothing but watch as I cry my heart out, hoping that this will end. Once I stop my screaming they all write something down on their clipboards and scatter to find the next drug to test...

I start to hear ringing and my vision begins to blur. I notice something coming next to the table I'm strapped on and look over to it. It's a blur, it all turned to a blur. I then felt something in my arm again and look over to it. I could only make the shape of a needle.

They finish putting the drug into my arm and I watch them walk away. Some other scientists walk up to me and I see that they aren't wearing their normal white coats. Their wearing some kind of light blue or turquoise suit-like thing with a matching mouth cover. Why would they be wearing that?

I then start to get tired and slowly close my eyes as I fall into a numb, dreamless slumber that I hope to never wake from...

---Time Skip---

I felt cold air hit my skin as I started to wake. My vision was still blurred and I moved my head to see where I was. I was in my cell. I then started to feel pain in my stomach and figured the anesthetics were wearing off. I tried to scream but my mouth was in the metal muzzle once more. I start to cry as the pain gets worse.

'The pain doesn't last this long... what did they do this time?' I thought.

I move my head down to see what was done to my stomach and my eyes widened at what I saw... There was a huge line cut down my stomach that was stitched close. I tried to scream again but that only made the pain worse so I laid my head back and cried harder.

'Sleep, I need sleep to help heal faster... maybe I'll pass out from blood loss... and never wake up...' I thought.

With that I slowly closed my eyes letting a few more tears fall. My eyes were almost completely closed until they snapped open to the sound of the lab doors opening.

'Couldn't have been asleep that long! Why are they back so early?!' I thought as I started to cry again. 'Please don't have more tests! Please!!' I thought and cried harder at the thought.

After a few minutes I heard the locks on my door start to unlock. My eyes widened before I squeezed them shut and turned my head away from the door. I didn't want to see those monsters again. I started to cry softly as I knew I was going to be tested on again. All those needles filled with drugs that could kill a mere human.

I heard the last lock click and the sound of the metal door creaking open...
