Maria's POV

It's about the middle of the night right now and I'm on my way to see Shadow. I walk down to the labs and find the one that Shadow is in. I stand in front of the door and look at the control panel. '6479' I then hear the door unlock and I walk in with a triumphant look on my face. But the look is soon dropped as I see the lab. It was different from the last time I was in here... I now had a look of total confusion.

'Is this the right lab?' I thought.

There were all these different chemicals and drugs everywhere. Some were being made in small machines while some were off to the side, already created. As I walked further into the lab I saw a table with syringes on it... and they looked used... Next to it was a table that has leather straps hanging off the sides. On some of the straps was blood... My eyes widen and I take a few steps back.

This was not how the lab looked before at all... Before there were computers and tubes everywhere. The tubes had always carried water and medicines to Shadow while he was in the rehabilitation tank...

The tank... I look over to where it was and it wasn't being used! It was open and Shadow wasn't in it! My eyes widen and my jaw dropped. Then the realization hit me...

They were testing on him...

I then had tears in my eyes as I thought about Shadow being in here... being tested on... cut... scared... in pain... I wanted to scream! I wanted to go to the one who did this and scream at them. All this time I thought I was going to see Shadow and we would go back to playing and being the little kids we were... But instead, Shadow was in here, being tested on...

More tears swelled in my eyes before I realized that if they tested in Shadow, they need a place to put him. This thought ignited my hope of seeing Shadow and I started to look around for where they kept Shadow.

I started looking around the room for a cage. There wasn't a single cage in the room. I go to the wall and start to look for a door. After a while of looking I found the door.

I now stood in front of a metal door with multiple locks on it. I look at all the locks and my shoulders slump as I will have to find the keys... I start to turn around but stop as I see a hook next to the door with all the keys. Easy enough...

I take the keys and start to unlock the door. I then pull open the door with a bit of difficulty and look inside only to gasp at the horrifying scene that met my eyes...
