Maria's POV

After I patched up Shadows head, I got my day cloths and went to the bathroom to take a shower. I locked the door behind me and went to the sink counter. I looked myself in the eyes.

'What could have scared Shadow so much?' I thought to myself.

I sighed and walked over to the shower and turned on the water. The entire time I took a shower, I thought of all the possible things that Shadow could have dreamt.

Shadow's POV

Maria's been in the shower for almost an hour now. And knowing her... she's probably thinking about what I could have dreamt about. Especially since I don't get scared so easily... Maybe I'll tell her not to worry and that her calling my name was what had scared me? It is the truth so she wouldn't get mad. But she'll probably ask of what my dream was about... I'll just tell her everything. She's my sister and she deserves to know. Plus she'll stop worrying.

I hear the shower water stop and the sound of the curtains moving. A few minutes later, Maria came out the bathroom drying her hair. She looked at me as she dried the side of her head. Maria had worry and curiosity in her eyes and she didn't have a smile on her face. She wanted some answers... Once she was done drying her hair, she was threw it in the dirty cloths basket next to her bed. Maria turned around to face me and opened her mouth to speak but I cut her off before any noise came out her mouth.

"I know you want to know what my dream was about and why I got scared," I said and she gave me a blank look and put her hands on her hips before tilting her head forward, motioning me that I could continue.

"I had a dream that I was down on Earth and I was running with some hedgehog that was running as fast as I would be able to go with my skates. While running he was talking to me, asking if I would go to some party. I got extremely annoyed with him and... was about to blast off...? But then you started to call my name and it had freaked me out. That's what my dream was and why I was freaking out when I woke up."

I finished and looked back up Maria to see her reaction. She had a blank processing face as she still had her hands on her hips while looking at me. She stared at me for a while, not even blinking as she processed my short story.

"So your saying that you were racing a blue hedgehog that was as fast as you, he asked if you would go to a party, you get annoyed, try to go faster, then I start to call your name and you freak out about it?" Maria said finally breaking the silence and her weird trance stare.

"Yes...?" I said a little unsurely.

She gave a hum of understandment and went to the bathroom again. I soon heard the sound of the blow dryer and Maria humming some tune.

"After I finish, let's go eat breakfast! Then I'll help you with a bath so you don't irritate your head wound!" she yelled over the dryers noise.

"Okay!" I yelled back.

At least I'll be able to enjoy this Christmas without the thought of that dream...right?...
