From the site: "Cunning Fire is an urban fantasy story about witches and spirits in modern day Chicago, following the journey of Akiva Stein as she enters this unfamiliar, hidden world and becomes the messenger Death witch in her new coven's quest to create the legendary Elixir of Life.
*CONTENT WARNINGS: This comic contains some scenes and imagery dealing with death, blood, and verbal abuse. Crude language is used throughout the story."
Cunning Fire is also worth checking out for its serious story and completely spot-on dialogue. Every character really looks and feels like a real person, the layout flows well, and the magic effects are always well-depicted and very nicely done. The story picks up quickly and will hook you right away with its plausibility and eye for real-world details. Great world building, great premise, and great art, plus LGBT characters and eventually romance.
