[The Beginning]
A short girl with soaking wet vermillion hair strode in followed by a very tall blonde haired boy. Unlike the boy, the girl's face was dotted with dark freckles and hid behind a pair of glasses. Her face was harsher and she always seemed be showing off her teeth. The boy's face was soft and almost dull, but his brown eyes breathed life into what once seemed hollow. His usual silence created an air around him seemed knowing and sad. He turned and closed the door behind him, blocking the storm from invading the house.
"I'm here!" The girl shouted and threw her wet bag on the floor. She took off her jacket and hung it up in the closet by the front door. The boy held onto his bag, not wanting to get more water on the floor. He went to hand the girl his jacket, but she walked by him, ignoring the gesture. His face contorted in offense, but he said nothing as he hung it up himself.
Daisy stood up and ran over to the girl and held her in a strong embrace. "Lily! You're here earlier than we thought."
Lily scoffed. "Why would you think I'd be late?"
"Because you usually take a long time to pack or do god knows what." Rose interjected.
"I wasn't asking the bookworm." Lily hissed. Rose gasped and stuck her nose high in the air. She gave a pleading look to Daisy, who replied with a sympathetic look.
"Calm down guys! We just got together!" Daisy told them with an unsure tone.
"But why did you have to invite her?" Lily whined. As the girls continued to have cat fight, Bellis greeted the boy.
"Hey, Helian! How was the rest of your shift?" He asked.
Helian shrugged. "You know. The usual. It wasn't very busy today, so not much happened. Surprisingly though, Lily was on time. Probably because of the storm."
"Has anybody complained about the new game?" Bellis said when he remembered what happened earlier.
"Elementum?" Bellis nodded. "No. Why?"
"Well Daisy and I started playing it but the weirdest stuff happened." He started. "First off the similarities between the characters and us were uncanny. I mean, its understandable that you can design the characters, but the fact that they fit our color scheme is weird. Not only that, but their voices sound just like ours."
"Well if you choose elements that have a color scheme similar to your's, that would explain the character design, and the voices are probably some voice recognition thing." Helian tried to explain.
"That's what I said, but I'm having a heard time believing that." Bellis said.
"What else was wrong? Im assuming aesthetics weren't the only thing that bothered you."
"The art is beautiful!" Daisy added to their conversation from the other side of the room.
"Thats always nice." Helian nodded.
"Yea, it was nice. But here is the really strange part." Bellis started to explain. "You see the characters don't start out with powers. You're supposed to find them in the form of stones. Each player is the key to unlock a certain element. I was water and Daisy was air. She found her stone, but afterwards her screen went black.'
"That's weird." Helian commented.
"That's not even the weirdest part! She disappeared and then came out of nowhere and killed my character! Her character's appearance had changed. I mean. It was scary!" Bellis shivered at the thought.
"Yea! So terrifying that your character screamed like a little girl!" Daisy giggled. Lily laughed too while Rose stayed unamused.
