[Walking on Gold]
Lily was the first to move away from the window. She ran to the front door and threw it open. The sudden noise broke the others out of their trance and they followed her outside.
"Whoa!" Daisy spun around trying to capture everything around her. Tall golden grass covered by a pure blue sky. Normal bees buzzed around small purple flowers and sipped at its plentiful nectar.
Helian crouched down and gingerly held one of the flowers. He lowered his head and inhaled the sweet aroma. A bee got stuck to him when his face had grown too close. He crossed his eyes to the fuzzy yellow creature that looked back at him on his nose. Helian's face grew pale as the bee buzzed angrily, but flew away to another flower.
They walked over to the ancient and twisted tree. It was oddly placed, as it was the only tree in the unending field of gold. Helian looked up at its immense limbs that seemed to go every which way. He placed his hand on the bark and felt every wrinkle and bump. He was the tree. He breathed and swayed along with the leaves. His inner moment was interrupted abruptly when Lily went up and kicked the base of the tree.
"This thing is huge! I want to cut it down just to count the rings!" She laughed and kick at it some more.
"I think we should leave it alone." Helian tried to say, but went unheard as usual.
Suddenly the sun got darker and a thick stream of light twisted down to the ground like a tornado. Helian stared at it puzzled. Nobody else had noticed it. "Um, guys?" The grass started to burn. "Guys the grass is starting to burn. I don't know if you realized but we are surrounded by flammable grass." The grass stopped burning once a large charred circle was created.
A vibrantly hot colored man appeared in the circle as the stream of light disappeared back into the sun. Helian was shocked. "Seriously? How do you not see this?"
"Omg! Who are you! When did you get here! Helian why didn't you tell us!" Lily shouted as he glared back at her.
The man was dressed in red, orange and yellow. Each color melted into the next. His hair was the same and long, but his skin was solid orange. Most noticeable, was that he only had one eye. It was mainly blue with an orange pupil. His face bore a large cocky grin. He opened his mouth to speak.
But was cut off instantly. "So? Are you a girl or a guy?" Lily squinted and looked at him. His smile faltered as he glared at her.
"I am the Sun. Why would a çelestial body need a gender?" He replied to her comment.
"So do you like... Not have..." She made a motioned down.
"In this form I am a guy!" He fumed and pinched the bridge of his nose to calm himself down.
"I am the Sun and I am here to welçome you to Suun (soon). You all are the owners of the stones of power. Each stone has a power or element that you'll get to çontrol. You should start going in the direction of the mountains. One of the stones is that way. Also I must warn you! At night you must hide. The Moon çomes out and she will find and kill you! So... Get a hotel room or hide in a çave." He spoke really quickly so that he wouldn't get cut off again. He nodded after making sure he said everything he needed to.
"I must be going now. I'm a very busy çelestial being!" He grinned and waved. Then he was surrounded by blinding light causing the the group to cover their faces. Once the light had receded, they peeked out from under their arms. He was gone and the sun went back to its usually brightness.
Daisy leaned over to her brother and whispered, "Dude! Did you see his eye? Illuminati confirmed!" Bellis face palmed and gave her a small punch. "Again? Really? I can't believe you!" She rolled her eyes.
"Doesn't this place look like that game we played?" Rose noticed.
"Yes, it does now that you mention it!" Daisy agreed.
"That weird man did just mention stones! They were in the game too!" Lily yelled jumping up and down with excitement.
"You better stay away from your stone, Sis. We don't need you killing all of us!" Bellis joked and gave her a light nudge.
"Look, I don't know what happened in the game, but I would never do that to my friends. You're all I've got!" Daisy said as her eyes welled with salty tears. Rose gave her a hug and patted her back.
"We know. He was just messing around." She said to comfort the other.
"Yea. Sure." Lily whispered to herself grimly.
"We should start walking towards the mountains." Helian suggested.
"We should start walking towards the mountains!" Lily shouted and pointed forwards. They all agreed and started walking. Helian stood for a moment and glared.
"Are you coming, Helian?" Bellis stopped and turned when he realized his friend was not by his side. Helian smiled and ran after them.
"Maybe this time will be better." He thought and grinned as Bellis's hand wrapped around his.
